New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

How about a stadium reboot?

It'd be nice if next season the following was in place for August:

1/ Everton's name to be featured prominently on the exterior walls - west stand and east stands

2/ EVERTON and the club badge and / or motto to be spelled out on the seats of the stadium

3/ Three or four statues of the club's legends to be placed around the stadium - apart from behind the north stand which is a God-forsaken place fit only for away supporters

4/ Take the ambulance chasers lettering off the south stand and place it on the north stand glass exterior - so their name is at least backgrounded by the Mersey and the world famous Liverpool skyline

I dont think that's too much to ask is it...given that fans will be paying every last penny of this £800M stadium in one way, shape or form?
Paint the metal bars in the safe standing to blue.

Structure of the South Stand looks ok to me. But where I was, there were too many people either sitting in silence or just moaning tonight. View attachment 326962
Tbf there’s not been much to get folk on their feet so far at home.
Be interesting to see a comparative image when there’s a corner / penalty or some other attacking action in progress. No doubt most would simply sit back down one the passage of play was finished mind.

I do think it’s strange they haven’t done that already. Those bars in their current colour can contribute to the sense of the stand looking a bit sparse at times imho.

A relatively steep stand plus rails will always look relatively sparse in 1:1 ratios. The rail is almost at shoulder height for the row below, means that it can be partially seen between bodies. As said, painting them blue might hide that effect a bit. At greater than 1:1 ratio, there would be a second step between rows, in theory allowing 30-50% more bodies per row..... but that will require a legislation change and proper German style rail seats to be fitted. Some people also contend that the concourse area is already congested at current capacity, so that might also be an issue.

Always confuses me that one, but haven’t been nearly enough to know the truth.
There was always lots of club spiel that the concourses were sized for expansion, yet as you say some folk say they’re chokka. Equally others say they’re not and it easy to get a drink or scran if you move a bit further down to other outlets.
Having only been in the family enc so far, I must say that was sufficiently chocka at 1/2 time that I swerved the F&B outlets, but I only saw the one at the bottom of the stairs I came in from, didn’t even attempt to get through the crowd to see if there were others 🤷‍♂️

Hope this isn't true, absolute joke this seat unique.

I haven't been in the lower tier yet. I keep meaning to go down the stairs just to see what its like at half-time, but being in the South-west corner, it would take several minutes to get there at half-time as the South stand upper is really congested. The island concessions take up too much room and most of the toilets have too few urinals, meaning the queues completely fill the inner concourse at half-time. If you're near the South-east corner, you can at least move around to the east stand, which is far less congested as it has two levels of concouse serving the upper tier. Unfortunately, people seem to be more attracted to the windows of the south stand concourse area.

It’s gonna take something serious happening before the Seat Unique issue will be addressed. Just hope we aren’t part of any trouble - but it’s going to happen somewhere.

Tbh, on occasion I have used similar at Old Trafford in the past. I've gotten away with it because we didn't score, and more importantly it seemed to be largely made-up of the well-healed/touristy types, and away from the knuckleheads. A whole block of away fans would be an entirely different proposition, so I hope that's not the case.

Plenty of room on that south concourse as long as people are willing to take the enormous trek of 15 yards away from the bars and food outlets and spread out a bit over toward the entrance / exits...which are like small ghost towns over there.

There's a smaller gents pretty much at the very last exit to the stand if you walk around the upper from south to West which is quieter than the rest in that part. There's a bigger ladies one next to it which my daughters have used and it's usually nearly empty.

I think the club should redo some of the ladies as gents... Or at least have some unisex ones to even out the supply and demand issues

That's too general a calculation for me.

I'd like to see the figures for fan income and ticket price rises.

Everton's would be off the charts bad for that one.

The 'People's Club' have done all they could to put into place super-exploitation of their own fans this season. All their bollox about having a 1878 tickets priced for less well off fans is unacceptable as an excuse. The ability to shift tickets about - a means of helping the less fortunate to a game lets not forget - is undermining the future of this club.

It's typical of short term rapacious capitalism.
