We're not in total chaos though, the arbiters of the Chaos Bill & Moshiri are footnotes in the past nowRinging any bells?
I agree with you mate. Sport is meant to be aspirational, but football is crooked. Every day I fall more and more out of love with the sport. I hate what its become and I guarantee that if I had discovered today then I wouldn't give it a min of my time. Its literally just the memory of how much I used to love it that keeps me invested.Fair enough , but sport is meant to be aspirational.
I go always in the hope that better days and better football are around the corner.
The appointment of Dour Davey means that we haven’t reached that corner yet .
It’s likely to be another three years before hope makes another appearance.
And I’m running out of time![]()
He did alright and might do alright here. He’s not a great manager and I’m not looking forward to 2.5 years of dour football and him talking us down, which he has always done.West Ham?
Did alright there didn’t he?
Same as DycheI could understand this if he hadn’t been given 2 and half years.
We are in an absolutely brilliant state now compared to Sunderland in 2016/17 to be fair mate.Ringing any bells?

That was under BK too though who was happy for him to lower expectationsHe did alright and might do alright here. He’s not a great manager and I’m not looking forward to 2.5 years of dour football and him talking us down, which he has always done.
Hard to disagree with any of that, brotherI agree with you mate. Sport is meant to be aspirational, but football is crooked. Every day I fall more and more out of love with the sport. Yes it's unfortunate that we're looking at another two plus years of dross but this is the consequence of people blindly allowing our previous administrations to destory us. Its infuriating but thirty years of mismanagement can't be undone in a single transfer window. It takes time to fix. I wish it wasn't so but it is what it is.
And? Because a manager joined us years ago, doesn’t mean there is currently a load of world class managers waiting to join us now. We've had Ancelotti when we were a basket case too.
If you’re not happy with the Moyes appointment (I’m fine with it aside from contract length) and you’re looking for someone at whom to direct your ire, look no further than the dire, treacherous Scotch Egg that has just left us. For better or worse it looks like TFG were happy to stick with him then look in the summer for a brand new manager to take the project. Less than a month into their tenure he comes to them and informs them he ain’t up to the task, but won’t resign and demands all of his money and more in Weatherspoons vouchers. He put the owners in a really bad position, and they have moved extremely quickly to resolve the situation and employ a manager who they believe will protect their investment up until the next stage. Dyche absolutely destroyed the one chance he had at managing a big club, and hopefully that will haunt him forever, and hopefully once again Moyes will leave us in a better position than he left us.
