Is there evidence of Moshiri "buying" players under the managers nose.
Or is this just one of our loveable posters own thoughts on the way its run?

There have been media reports suggesting it. The Iwobi deal is the one usually brought up, but there were even rumours last week with the El Ghazi signing. I think the fact Benitez didn't even bother to bring him on at 2-1 down suggests he didn't want him.

David Weir is Dan Ashworths Assistant Technical Director, so unless Weirs reason for not coming to us was connected to Benitez surely Ashworth wouldn't join us either?

Apologies for the ignorance, I sped through this thread trying to catch up, have we/or is there a decent source that we've enquired about Ashworth?

There's an argument that if he's not, the firing of Benitez immediately after selling one of our best players and bringing in 3 new ones is even more insane.

I don't think Moshiri comes out of it great either way, to be honest.

we're in a F*kinmess not a single person in the right mind is giving up decent job at any club in the prem to become DOF of this mess we call our club.

with Iwobi he may have a friendship with him due to his Arsenal connection, but what reason would he have with El Ghazi?
