One of the main reasons for changing the crest in the first place was because the tower was too hard to reproduce on small embroideries, it needed to be made simpler. I like the look of the new tower design but it doesn't solve that problem.

I was at my mate's house last night when the designs were revealed,

showed at picture of the 3rd crest to my mate's girlfriend, she said it looks like Nigel Thornberry..

I have voted for option 3, I really like it, I accept that it probably won't win, number 1 looks a clear favourite, but I like number 3, I think it looks classy and modern, while retaining the best parts of the older badges. If number 1 wins I will accept it though, without a fuss, as it will still be an improvement on the current badge

Well, that's that ruined.
But it looks more like the Bordeaux one to be fair, just a lot less curvy.
