These are the designs I submitted at last nights focus group.

I have tried to focus on a more streamlined tower which is still attractive and not a 'fat beehive'. I have incorporated it into the badge that everyone on here seems to like, a simplified Laurel version and the traditional shield.

2 laurel wreaths either side of a tower stitched into the shirt. Maybe an EFC underneath it if you really have to have the name on it for marketing purposes. How hard is this to comprehend? Would be the simplest thing to display on all sorts of media platforms and would look boss on any kit. No fancy borders, colours or shapes needed. White stitching onto the royal blue background of the shirt (maybe Silver when we're in Europe every season starting from next year ha).

Sorry to be a d*ck mate but you've ruined someones class design with a fat tower. Also, you've practically submitted the same unpopular design that caused such a stink in the first place.

They will change the Tower. Whether we like it or not. I am happy with how the badge looked in the mid 80's but they will change it. If they wanted it to be as complex as in the past they wouldn't be lobbying the entire fan base. Have you ever tried making a phone/facebook icon from it?

Check out the weight at the bottom of the 2013/14 badge and how bulbuss the bottom curve is. The Tower looks heavy due to the overly stylised 'stripes'. The shield here is the same shape as the 1987 crest.

The Tower is what it is.

Can anyone that is good with Photoshop maybe alter the colours so they are more "Everton"? Maybe Royal Blue in the middle with white border circle and Everton and NSNO in Royal Blue too. I would but I am shocking with Photoshop. Just don't want Navy to be the dominant colour on an Everton badge, it looks wrong.

I don't think it's the dominant colour there though tbf. It's the central colour, yes, but the navy acts more as just a background in the middle... the eye (or at least my eye) is drawn more to the royal blue around the edge, where the writing is.

Fair enough but I just don't think there should be that much navy on an Everton badge. Personally I don't think there should be any. For me it would just be royal blue and white but we are stuck with yellow as well it seems. No need for navy as well unless in very subtle accents...

I would be more than happy if they went against the grain and stayed with what we all know and love. A club emblem isn't just a logo to fans. I don't have the same love for Apple Macs or Ben Sherman shirts as I do for Everton FC.

But they will change it. The word 'Everton' is a neccessity now. My idea was to look at combining the new shaped Tower (this did get passed by the club and is a true representation, just badly excecuted) with the old tower's lines (again though this will cause problems when making an icon). Arsenal and Spurs have both tackled a similar design problem in the last decade. Some love the results and others hate it.

going by darth toffeemans images , i really like the one ive copied and used below.
sorry darth t for the copy and paste crudeness and the lack of colour alterations , but i would settle for something along these lines ...

I am not interested in marketing in any way,but I expect the current bad was designed to appear recognisable and simple to a whole world of non-Evertonians. I assume the message is aimed not the believers but at everybody else.
Some of the badges I see on here, although properly representing our club have possibly too much going on.

The badge by Darth Toffeeman of the tower surrounded by the laurel wreath is I think wonderful, simple and iconic at the same time.I think the 1878 date is important as it emphasises the longevity of the brand.

Cheers guys. Nice to see it utilised in the traditional shaped crest uknightbreed (2nd one is best :)).
This is what consultation/initial ideas is all about. Hopefully trying to find a solution that is accepted.

darth toffeeman, the last two are very well done and to me look the most 'Everton' to me. the tower, wreaths and traditional shield is what make the everton badge what it should be
