I am certainly not telling people to not have an opinion. Just strikes me of symptomatic of the Premier League era that people are obsessing about a badge. I don't recall this fuss when when just had EFC in cursive script on the shirt.

And can I have another bonus point for "symptomatic" please?

I can't remember ever such a fuss being made of a badge, it has to be said.

It's an evolving thing - it will change again in the future. The reason we've had this vote is due to the modern social networks, indicative of the power of the ordinary person in the modern world.

Years ago no campaign to re-design it would've got off the ground. Now we have things such as Twitter, Facebook and this fine forum for people to influence things and voice their opinions.

We've never been such an integral part of the club as we are now, influence-wise.

Can't wait until 15 years from now - 2028 - for the 150th anniversary Everton crest.

I like it, it symbolises us perfectly. Traditional, a little bit cleaner. I'm glad the 1878 are all together, never liked it separated. Never been fussed with Everton having to be on it but it looks better inside the shield than outside, saves more room on the shirt for when they stitch F.A cup finalists 2014 on it. The choices weren't amazing lets be honest but number 1 for me personally ticked everything I wanted in an Everton badge so I'm happy. One thing for sure, the current badge looks even ****ter and I never thought that would be possible!

I love the new crest. It is genuinely boss, it is a massive improvement on the current one and old one and I genuinely believe that. When I did a rough sketch at the consultation meeting it was what I drew.

As someone who has not bought a shirt this season because of the crest, I will definitely be buying next season with the new crest on.

They've actually made it a respectable size on the shirt as well, rather than being absolutely massive for no reason whatsoever. At least it's decent and we haven't ended up with the utter joke that is the current one for the next decade.
