In lots of ways - some of which I pointed out above.

Let's take the badge / logo questions for example:

1. the preselection of images immediately biases the results.

2. people will inevitably choose images based on subconcious associations with the brand rather than the image e.g. oooh I like eating MacDonalds therefore I'll pick that one.

3. The way questions are constructed can introduce bias - e.g. I think it is no coincidence that the first three answer options (out of twelve) to question 9 are the ones the club wants to see.

4. I think you have answered your own question - if you force people to give their priorities / opinion then you are not really getting their true priorities / opinion. For example, instead of asking people to put things in order of importance (from 1 to 5) you could ask them how important they are (marks out of 10 - zero being an option).

There are other faults with the survey - not least of which is that I can fill out the survey more than once.

1. How many images would you allow? Every badge in world football?
2. That is, of course, part of it. We associate certain feelings with certain images or logos. This is why the club are not asking 3 people but thousands - not everyone will choose McDonald's or Apple and the club aren't saying if 51% of people choose McDonald's the logo will be a yellow E on its side.
3. No, it's not, it's not a coincidence because Everton aren't the only club who have gone for a simpler and more 'modern' badge.
4. So, is the wreath 10/10 and the name 4/10? 5/10? How would you score that. Choosing 1 to 5 is fine and I'd suggest if you saw the results and everyone put the wreaths at most important and the name at least important they'd be aware most people don't care for the name. They won't go, 'but everyone put the name in their list of 1-5'.

This is a consultation, it is not an exam, it is not the end result. It is a way to include fans in a discussion we wouldn't normally get involved in. Some would suggest it was madness to allow so many people a voice about something they have never done before and have no expertise in.

as for the vote being sabotaged, really, you think there's going to be loads of other clubs fans voting, could you be arsed to do it to another club ? ,enough to change the outcome.very unlikely given the amount of protests in the first place.

Im certain our fans wouldn't be bothered to do it to other clubs but do you really trust the morality of other fans? Those from across the park? Would only take the pathetic minority of lots of other clubs fans to soon equal the majority of one clubs' fans.

A well made arguement well put.

But he's got a point at this stage. They're just trying to harvest some pertinent stat's for the phase using a typical sociological/advertising research model. Whatever the faults in the method of enquiry, they're not going to design a bespoke METHOD for us :)

I will just have to disagree with you, really don't see a movement started to disrupt the everton badge tbh.

My preference would be for the circular one above in TF's, but with the Everton and NSNO incorporated around the outside like this one :)

The terrible new badge is the result of the club leading a focus group of fans to choose a design the club wanted. It seems to me that we now have a large group of fans being led to a design. The answers I have given in that survey do not reflect my views because I have been forced into giving answers I don't agree with. The results will not truly reflect fans' views.

As for people having no expertise in this - people are experts in what they like and don't like.

Yeah, I see your point, after all it's not like the last design cock-up had multi-milllion pound implications at all is it? Much better to get someone to use a free online survey tool than spend a modest amount on understanding our view correctly.

Glad you're starting to be reasonable ;)

They are quite nice, my favourite of these ones is the second one on the first row,

However for me the badge has to contain two laurel wreaths, either side of the tower, to look like an Everton Badge, so none of these would be my first choice
