Neville signs a year extension deal

Great timing to announce this on the back of such a good performance yesterday...

I won't knock Nev for his step overs, but wow, what's with the chipped crosses all the time? The balls in the air long enough to go and get a brew and get back to your seat in time to see it headed out.

Whip it in ffs.

This. Also, by doing that he can do what he did against Wolves and score or something...

Neville is signed up because of his versatility. Coleman is currently out, if Baines was crocked he would be our only senior cover for LB. And he has shown he can mix it in midfield doing the holding/defensive role.
It is a move that makes sense, because i'd rather we keep a player we know can fit the bill rather than spend on an area that we dont need to improve as much as we do elsewhere.

The worst signing we have ever had, £3.5m + £55k pw x 5 years = how much?

I give up with Everton. I swear to god.

If he tried to whip it in it'd skid across the floor as he has the technique of a fish.

I'd rather he was simply dropped. But because Coleman is injured and Hibbert is pretty much exactly the same, there's little point.

However, saving £50k a week and playing Hibbert instead would have made a whole world of sense rather than actually extending the useless beauts contract.

Strange one really, considering his ability to defend has deteriorated rapidly over the last season and a bit. Having one year left on his contract seemed about right to me.

This news makes me sick. We're fcukin skint then we go and offer this clown another 1-2 years and more wages??! All in the same week Kencnut tells us we have no money!
I'd rather we didn't offer him anything and saved the extra wages to invest in better seats in The Bullens!

*madface*

Breaking news : Neville signs a lifetime contract. The everton captain who turns 36 next year can see himself playing until he's 77 cos that's when he might be on a wheelchair. Efforts to persuade Osman,Cahill and Hibbert to sign a similar deals are still going on
