He also did actually offer more than him the last time they both got any game time and got more assists and everything overall (although I know it's a poor record regardless for both). But he's not Seamus Coleman, so even if he gets man of the match he'll get blasted as the worst footballer in existence anyway.

As to your previous post - so you've never advocated for any young player to be given game time? I vaguely remember you wanting to give Tim Ironbum a chance, despite the fact he's been largely garbage with the ball for many games, until he finally had 1 good start the other day - is this not the exact same thing you tried to pretend laudo wasn't saying? I love me a good double standard, like this.

For his sake, Patterson should probably move on, but the fact he doesn't play and still gets brought up just to be slated despite not playing is hilarious.

The foundations of the win the other night were the back four. O'Brien was MOTM and Tarkowski had his best game all season because he knew what Jake was up to and vice versa.

Garner at RB has been a success. You dont break that up unless you're an utter fool.

CD should be Tarkowski-O'Brien, another success.

What about a back 3 of Tarks, Job and Myko then our two strikers up front at the same time? Playing a 3-5-2 to try to compete in the midfield and push Notts Forest back?

….i’ve always advocated players earning game time, regardless of age. Remember DCL coming in and playing left side for a few games because he was effective, doing a job the manager asked him to do.

Patterson has been dreadful, he’s a catastrophe waiting to happen in games. I think it was the Ipswich equaliser last season which caused Moyes to have seen enough. Its fundamentals he gets wrong in a game and they do tend to be costly.

There’s a reason why he’s generally been 3rd or 4th choice and why managers have preferred CM or CHs ahead of him. He plays like he’s a bit daft, I keep hoping the penny will drop with him.

The shouts to ‘give him a run of games’ have largely dried up because people have seen how poorly he’s performed. Moyes might be forced to play him tomorrow, I can understand why he’d consider doing it and we can only hope he does a job. He’s not in the same league as Coleman, even at their current ages.

But Declan Rice drove them on to win in Europe. I think Anderson is a good player don't get me wrong but he's still unproven at the very highest level

I'd argue the prem is a higher level than the conference league, but yeah like I said this is Anderson's first season performing quite at this level (but he was underrated last season too). But *this season so far* he is probably the best or second best CM in the league after Rice.
