2025/26 Nathan Patterson

Could have swore I read above there some people saying we need to play Patterson.

Lol.
I mean I’m not a fan but I definitely think if Keane is out - then who else do we play?

Keep Jake at CB. Seamus is out, so I guess it makes sense to play a right back at right back… right?

I'd rather put a corner flag in there than him.

He's completely useless...worse than useless in fact.

If Moyes hands a start to him - which Ilm pretty confident he wont, btw - then he needs 'kin smacking.

We have Garner to go there who is as accomplished a RB that we've had there since Coleman's demise as a player.

The back four from the other night should not be tampered with.

Gueye / Iroegbunam's absence means midfield will need to be sorted out by dropping KDH back there.

If Moyes is planning on his favoured 4-2-3-1 then we're short in midfield. Garner and KDH can fill the centre mid with Alcaraz ahead. Basically, if Garner plays RB we're short in midfield. If Garner plays in midfield, we need to look at RB options. Really we need Keane back so Jake can cover RB. Or play Patterson.

None of that works because O'Brien at RB - admittedly a step up from putting Patterson in there again - doesn't work for us.

The foundations of the win the other night were the back four. O'Brien was MOTM and Tarkowski had his best game all season because he knew what Jake was up to and vice versa.

Dont go with that back four again and we're a midden waiting to ship 2/3 goals.

If we're short in MF, btw, then look no further than Moyes allowing Armstrong to leave on loan.

Bravo, you`ve managed to get digs in against both Patterson and Moyes in one go, pity you couldn`t shoehorn a dig against Hill Dickinson in there too and you`d have had your hat trick Bingo 👏👏👏

It's Moyes duty as a fellow Scot to get Patto back playing consistently in the Everton side and ready for the World Cup next summer dave.

For me, even if Keane is fit, there’s too much pace in that forest side, you have to start Jake at CB.

Wild one I know but I’d give Patto a chance at RB. What other choices do we have..

I think the likelihood is he’s done here but we also need to set up with players who play in their actual position.

Even if he throws in a 6/10 it puts him in the window if that’s what the club wants to do. Easier to get money back for a player who’s played recently than not..

An emotional reunion this weekend with the only manager who's ever truly believed in him.

Pictured in training preparing for the reunion.

Patterson is being shown as injured and not back until 13th December. I think this forces Moyes hand. Garner to RB and roll the dice for CM

Roll the dice? There literally isn't another fit centre mid at the club? As much as I'd prefer to see Garner at right back currently, the only choice would be hoping Keane is fit and playing O'Brien right back

….the only consistent thing about his performances is that they’ve been consistently bad.

Saying that, if Keane joins Iroegbunam and Gueye on the sidelines then he might have to start as Garner will surely be required in CM.
