My view on Anichebe.

He's got a directness and physicality to his game that our other forwards don't, so on that basis there is a place for him. Is he good enough for us long term? Well he's proving a few doubters wrong this season, so well continue to see. He can still improve a lot, but there are some good signs that he is continuing to do just that. He's no spring chicken any more - he should be approaching his peak 5 years.

I rate Vic always had talent, his shooting has seriously come on in the past two seasons, defo something to offer,?needs to do it consistently to deserve to start.

i would defo keep him!

hes a very good player when he wants to be but thats the problem he has had imo. he had a cob on for about 2 seasons but he looks like hes enjoying it again this season.

and he seems to like playing with jelli!

There are many different views.

My view in the pro-sale of Cheebs camp is not because I think he is crap, but because I think he is saleable without unduly impacting our overall squad strength. I also think we could use the funds raised and improve the overall squad strength. Say we made 4-6m, I think we would be stronger.

Moyes + Money - Cheebs = Stronger Squad

Used to dread him being on the pitch but he's starting to win me over ever so slightly this season, looks to have the bit between his teeth and that's something us evertonians truly appreciate!

If he can keep scoring goals and stay fit then he could be one of our main players. However those are big 'ifs', the only thing that is really preventing Vic from cementing himself in the squad is his injuries. Can we afford a 25 year old injury plagued striker even one with a good goals/mins ratio?

I've always loved him. He still needs a little emotional maturity and his footballing brain and team chemistry on the pitch have atrophied a little in his injury absences. I think he is a very good backup for Jelavic, and unless he is on stupid wages (I honestly don't know), he is a squad player we should not be looking to replace until we have sorted out a CM, CB, and probably GK first.
