cant get enough snides in the team if you ask me

It's come to something when someone who wants to tackle gets labelled a snide, he's looks a pretty honest player to me. When Delph came through him late he didn't rolled around on the ground trying to get him booked, he simply ran him over and got on with the game. Just 'cause he makes sure you know you've been tackled doesn't make him a snide in my book.

Martinez needs to be given some credit for his man management of Besic, as does Besic himself. Who has come back into the team with more composure, even after a nervous start to last night's game. Besic could possibly develop into the type of player that closes down quick, puts in a tackle and bursts forward with energy.

He put in a great shift last night, a lot of things didnt come off which is to be expected. A run of games in the team would improve his understanding of the rest of the players. At times he wasnt in tune with the movement of some of the others but thats nitpicking really.

Haven't seen an Everton central midfielder look so good at both ends since Fellaini in his pomp. Who funnily enough also had a similarly dominant game against City.

He overhit a few passes like but you can see he's excellent on the ball, skilful, has vision and can hit a ball too (but doesn't take wasteful potshots). Then at the other end he is a fantastic tackler, is very quick and uses that to press well, plus he's a snide.

Proper Everton player. Just hope he gets the game time to keep improving and getting more comfortable with the team.

He was so pissed off with himself for doing this too.
