I love him to be honest. His attitude and technical ability are impressive. I don't mind he is a bit positionally off. He is young and quite new to the central role.
Listen, we miss the attitude of a team with the likes of Cahill or Ferguson who give a crap and carry themselves in a certain way. This kid may not be a toffee but he has that attitude we need and bags of ability on top of that.
He is not good enough for us at this moment. The reason is he has raw ability, but he is positionally clueless and a headless chicken too often. People get excited because he throws a tackle and will occasionally throw a decent pass, but that's the problem - it's very occasional.
I actually think he will come good but he needs regular football and he needs it at a level just below ours right now. A championship team on loan is pretty much the picture perfect example of what the loan system exists for.

He is positionally for the most part absolutely fine, you're referring to the fact he harries opponents.. which is what he is meant to do.. and he does it well.. barry does the same but then gets absolutely left for dead for speed.
His level is absolutely fine, and would be great alongside mccarthy or barkley as a first teamer.

1000x the above. He is defensively and positionally all at sea. Either ship him out or find him a new position.
The occasional slide tackle and switch of play won't cut it.

Worth Barry the Snail's place every day of the week. Not even close.
He was crap, boss, crap, boss, average, boss boss crap boss average and so on. Most important thing Dave, got 120 minutes under his belt which is absolutely massive for us.
Giving him credit that 3 times he looked dead on his feet and he kept going. Tough first game this season for him.

Mental that people rate McCarthy and Barry higher than Besic.
To be fair you can't man mark Messi, Bale & a few other superstar players out of matches and have zero positional sense, get a grip.
