The article over at http://www.grandoldteam.com/2014/09/29/liverpool-1-1-everton-matt-fawcetts-statistical-review/ noted that " ... creating 2 chances with 89% pass accuracy and 2 dribbles ... ".

Some more stats (according to http://www.whoscored.com/Matches/82...nd-Premier-League-2014-2015-Liverpool-Everton)

Passing accuracy was 87%
Touches 69
2 key passes
53 successful passes
7 long balls
3 accurate long balls
1 through ball
1 through threw ball

Eto'o and Browning 100% pass completion rate.

Noticed this too, his defensive movement off the ball was superb, particularly remember one point where he was involved on the left sideline up the pitch, when someone gave away possession he followed the play back and ended up making a tackle on the right side of the pitch right near our box. It's the sort of thing you may not notice unless you're looking for it.
I recall that as well, I think he will come on leaps and bounds with Barry there to polish off that positional awareness. It is one thing to be able to do the regular things like pass, tackle, and marking but getting into those spaces ahead of time to snuff out opposition moves is the best thing you can do as a defensive midfielder. I think the crowd are going to love him once he is settled in and I think he can be a starter before the end of the season.

Hope so mate I would go:

Robles
Browning alcaraz distin oviedo

Osman Gibson

Mcgeady Naismith pienaar

Kone

Still a team capable of scraping a point and for the manc's go:

Howard

Coleman Jagielka Stones Baines

Mccarthy Barry Besic

Atsu Lukaku Eto'o

Think we need pace to really get at utds defence and having the extra man in the middle would provide extra cover so atsu and eto'o can stay forward
Naismith will deffo play against Utd. Atsu shouldn't start unless he has a real stormer in midweek. Eto'o shouldn't be played on the wing either - Pienaar should be back

Normally I would agree mate but without barkley and mirallas we have literally no pace in the midfield and will struggle to break them down without it. I highlighted vardy against them for Leicester even the pace of downing led to Rooney lashing out (for me because he doesn't have faith in Utds back 4 and thought he needed to stop the counter)

I fear we will be like we were against the RS when mirallas went off and be slow in the attack. Their defence is young and weak and nothing scares inexperienced defenders more than rapid players coming at them look at the problems sterling causes through raw pace, even Bolasie. For me atsu has to play for that reason alone with kev out.

I can see your point lad definitely, Nessi will start though unless he's injured

I wouldn't mind something even like this:

Howard
Coleman Jagielka Stones Baines

Mccarthy Barry

Atsu Naismith Pienaar

Lukaku

Would give us the partnership of baines and pienaar, The raw pace of atsu to hit them on the counter and the goal threat of naismith

The problem with Atsu is that he's lightning over 5 yards but he didn't seem overly quick over longer distances which is what you need on the counter.

however I would still play him instead of McGeady.

I think that'll be the team if Pienaar is back - maybe McGeady for Atsu. Think who ever performs best on Thursday will get the nod tbh. If Pienaar isn't back it'll be 4-3-3
