Did well I thought. No silly tackles and retained possession well. He turned himself into trouble a couple of times but pretty solid.

Hadn't seen the teamsheet before going into the radio silence pit, so was looking round when they were warming up. Saw Hibbo and thought "testicles so no Seamus" and it took a few seconds to clock that the cheeky looking imp was Besic. Did pretty well today, some good things, some not so good. As he plays more he'll hopefully learn and get rid of some of the mistakes

Loved the fact that he was having a proper go at Balotelli when the big lump was feigning injury. Well in lad.
Yeah, that little kick was some nasty thing from him as the replay showed, it was like a [Poor language removed] off signal for him :-) Liked that too.

Thought he was the best out of the 3 in there while he was on just started to fade a little a few minutes before roberto took him off.

Like i said a few posts back, liked the leadership he was showing, looked like he'd been playing for us for ages

Very impressed with him today!! Great composure on the ball. He wasn't bought in to be a playmaker, he was brought in as a defensive midfielder and the boy can do that and he will only get better!!!

I was very impressed that Roberto started with him today - and even more impressed with Besic's performance.

Ever since we signed him, I'd pictured him doing something absolutely nuts in the derby and getting a red card. I thought he was excellent. That ludicrous mistake against Chelsea hasn't affected him, it would seem.

Impresse me today. Not a great footballing performance but he kept it nice and simple and worked hard until he faded a bit at the end.

Showed a lot of maturity to control is temper as well. Thought he was going to be off but he proved me wrong, thank God.

The one thing I would say is that he needs to learn to get it away from the edge of our box more quickly. Whether that's a clipped ball over the top, a burst of pace or just a hoof he can't walk through opposition players in our own half.
