Besic-Gibson has looked the better, all round, MF combination so far. McCarthy has been absolutely dreadful and is only avoiding criticism on the back of his performances last season. Likewise Barry, who is suddenly looking like a 35 year old.

He looks a top top player, got the technical ability of Ross, got the passing of Gibson, the energy of McCarthy and seemingly the positional sense of Barry. Could be a bargain.

You can have a mixtures of those without being one of the best in the world mate. I was hardly going overboard but of course if you wish to portray my comment like that you are entitled to it. I believe he has a mixture of all those aforementioned but has a long way to go.

You can have traits of all of those players you would not be an unbelievable player at all, i am failing to understand how you come to that conclusion you can have a mixed bag of traits and be a 'decent' player without being a world beater. That's the matter of the fact.

Them abilities/traits are what those players are best at/have the most and they are some of the top players in the league for those abilities/traits.

That's like me saying a player had 'the dribbling of Hazard, the finishing of Van Persie, the movement of Suarez and the speed of Walcott' but then claiming that's a mixed bag and wouldn't make a world beater.

If you had Gibson's passing, McCarthy's energy, Barry's positional sense and Gibson's passing you wouldn't have just signed for Everton for £4m as a 21 year old, you'd be the biggest young midfielder in football.

Having mixed traits of all of those would not make you a perfect footballer unless you had them all perfected at the same level as the aforementioned. You can have all of those traits perhaps being less so good at them but still having them all which could make you a good player. I don't know why you are trying to make a stupid argument, it's a little bit pedantic and childish.

I am not making him out to be a world beater i a claiming he seems to have similar traits to players that we have at our club which is a positive thing.

I'm not saying he's better than any of them or worse, i am saying he seems to share all of their traits. That isn't stating that he is world class like you seem to be saying i am.

I respect you as a poster and i respect your right to hold an opinion, ours differ on this and that's all there is to it.
