LOL

People fumin over Moist already.

Its gonna be a long Season, well, untill he smashes it and you all wanna slurp on his ginger womb hunter.

No denying his credentials as a manager, but he's proving to be very bellish lately, I will never forgiven him for Anfield last season and I was shocked by those comments last night.

He didn't have to say anything, all the players have come out and said how boss it was and he has to come out with that. Its comments like that, which distance fans from him

Plus, and I'm not saying I know Tony Hibbert or anything, but I lay money on him absolutely buzzing and being made up with last night's antics. He knew about the folklore, and I bet he was always conscious of it and grateful that it afforded him some kind of additional cult status with the fans of HIS club. He's one of those very same fans.

I wouldn't be surprised if last night gives the lad even more of a bond with the fanbase, not that he needed it. He's probably going to remember that, and have a smile on his face and a glint in his eye when he thinks back to the moment when all his fellow Blues all piled on - down to him.

What a fitting epitaph when he decides to bring the curtain down on his Everton career. His club. His fellow fans.

It was exactly the right thing to do, and exactly the right occasion. We can now get that monkey off our back, rather than have it happen in a proper game where the repurcussions would come back to haunt us more than what the goal actually meant (in purely footballing terms).

The new season is only about ten days away and then we face up to Man Utd.Last night was a testimonial but for the manager it was a serious game of football and an important preparation for the start of the season.
I think he saw the "riot" as a disruption to the flow of the game.
He couldn't really condone what happened publicly, but as long as the game was worthwhile I don't think he was too upset.

Well the players should not of done the same if that was the case, and Everton shouldn't of advertised everywhere 'If Hibbo scores, we riot' and played 'I predict a riot' at half time

The important preparation where he played Phillip Neville in midfield for 80 minutes. Lol.

He doesnt really have a say in that though. Someone has to say that's enough of that. There will be ample opportunity to fume at Moyes, this just seems to be a case of people looking to be offended.

Moyes is a fine manager nothing to do with fuming at him, what he does, he does brilliantly, I don't take kindly to him having a dig at fans though who help pay his £60k a week wages.

Spot on this.

It was encouraged by all parties, including the club so I don't know why he's come out and had a moan at the fans, 17k of which just splashed out to come along in the very hope that such a thing would happen.

Suppose that's a reasonable standpoint mate. He could probably play to the fans a bit more generally, as some of his comments over the last season or two have been a bit bizarre and slightly isolating.

Tbf mate that's probably what he's going to do against Man Utd. We did play a strong starting line up last night.

The thought of Neville starting against Man Utd already makes me feel physically ill. If we want to give them such a huge advantage we could just start with 10 men?
