Moyes 'The ungrateful irritant'

Bitter, cant stand bitterness.

Some people just think its vital to slate Moyes to show how much you appreciate Martinez. Negativity is the new positivity round here.
Got to keep mentioning the negatives of Moyes lest we forget and actually move on to enjoying Martinez instead.
Personally I am expecting his name to be mentioned first and more often than Martinez's, should we manage to win a trophy under Bobby.
Its not right, but there are 3 or 4 posters that will be keeping the Moyes shadow above us for a very long time, in the name of moving on and supporting Martinez of course.

I would rather we just forgot he ever managed us myself.

He's part of our history and overall a positive part... To a degree.
Not worthy of forgetting, certainly not worthy of overriding Martinez's good work with constant moaning either.
Just want to move the fk on without constantly having to read his name amidst yet another moan saying the same things as the ones from the previous day.

Well from my point of view, I was a big fan of Moyes, but I did understand his weaknesses, for which there were many. I thought the last few years he had basically lost his spark big time, but he could still pick a player, the squad we have now is superb, in his time it lacked here and there but Martinez bulked it up in all the right places and then some.

Martinez also has a different mentality, one in which it seems the players are embracing and its a joy to watch Everton at the moment, I had my doubts at the start, way too much passing between Distin and Jags, but now we attack with fluidity, it doesnt always work, but I feel personally its never down to the Manager tactics, I always thought that under Moyes, I felt sometimes the players let us down, its hard to maintain an excellent standard for a great deal of time, only the really great players can do that, your Ronaldos and Messis of this world.

So anyway, initially I had major doubts about Martinez and im more than happy to be proved wrong every week, nothing pleases me more, but its easy for some to overlook the good work Moyes did while he was here, as said he bought us some wonderful players and did miracles in the transfer windows, but he went into some games with the wrong approach and it cost us big time, but hes gone now, moved on to "bigger and better" things and is probably getting found out big time it could be said, I couldnt care less, at first I wanted him to do well, but then there was the whole opening his trap for no reason and I lost any respect I still had left.

I understand he lost most of the fanbase a long time ago and many cant wait to stick the boot in every chance they get, but as you said, we really should be more focused on the here and now and thats Martinez.

pls no copi pasterooney my story

I was a Moyes fan, hand up. I do appreciate what he did here. But he made a choice, and has continued to make choices, and those choices have consequences. He doesn't get to have it both ways. He doesn't get to leave us, and act condescendingly towards us, and expect us not to react negatively.

You don't get to leave your wife for a woman you perceive as prettier, or smarter, or "better", and have your ex-wife treat you as if you'd never left. At some point she moves on, but at first she's going to perceive you as a dick. And when her new boyfriend gives her orgasms you never did, she's going to feel a little smug when your new wife doesn't turn out to be as "perfect" as you thought she was.

He was a con man, fooled everyone into believing we are small time and should expect no more than 40 points a season, that we couldn't compete against "bigger" clubs and that we'd be screwed without him. All that while raking in 4 million quid a year for winning absolutely nothing and bottling every big game. Forget us being grateful to him, he should kiss our arse for giving him a carreer and a shedload of cash.

Excellent analogy

Glad someone is on the same boat as I am.
I couldn't have said it better myself.

Would positive rep you but some people unhappy with my opinion seem to have preventing me from using that privilege.(talking about those negative repping me about not being so bitter about Moyes)

He left us in much better shape than he found us, that's for sure. However, if he left us after 2 years he would still have been able to say that.

You reap what you sow. The moyes comments regarding Baines and Fellaini coupled with his summer pursuit were the turning points. What angered me was the hypocrisy. He spent years telling us all what a man of integrity he is and then acts like he did over the summer. He pilloried Mark Hughes over Lescott and then did the same thing himself. It was his arrogance that we would just roll over and sell for next to nothing which astounded me.

That's why Moyes should be criticised. The on field stuff is not a stick to beat him with. He left this club with some great players and young players. Marinez has come in and been a breath of fresh air with his positivity. That Old Traffor performance was a significant result. Any player who had doubts about our positive approach will be convinced now.

It's interesting that several of the Moyes stalwarts are actually having the best seasons in years. Tim Howard probably having his best season. Jags is back to form of 07,08,09 but minus hoofball. Pienaar is revitilised. Coleman seems to be loving getting forward. And of course there is the rise of Barkley.

Moyes and Martinez are different managers with different approaches. That should not be a stick to beat Moyes with. The belittling and patronising attitude towards our club is.

Like it has been said on here several times, the 3-- 0. Defeat at the Pit was the final nail, on that night I had had it With Moyes, onwards and upwards, I mentioned on here the other week about the love and warmth from the fans at the Audience wth Roberto at Aintree, we have a manager who is something special, in Roberto we trust.
