Moyes Hints At Incoming Investment....????

The suggestions that the red****e may no longer be keen to relocate to anew stadium on Stanley Park, could rekindle interest in someone buying the club. Prospective buyers who have allegedly been put off because we have an old, falling down, ramshackle stadium ( with apologies to the old lady of Goodison) and no site for a new one, should be quick to seize on this prime location so close to our spiritual home. It makes senses - all we need is a rich sheik to rattle and roll asap

brilliant idea! and then we can owe millions to this geezer and when we sink after he pulls the plug we can at least say we gave it a go as we roar on the blues playing dagenham&redbridge

It wouldn't shock me if it was a group from quatar (although it will shock me if we're sold at all) as they would want to raise their profile and gain a positive image due to world cup. What better way than to buy a club on the brink of European football, with a solid manager great history and good players. All we need is a few quid and a new stadium (the latter being the problem). It sounds plausible.

However I'm pretty wary and cautious over claims of investment/takeovers so I'll wait until I hear something more concrete or reports from LCAB or THT.

Are the Qatari/Middle Eastern people 'the right sort' of investors though? Do they pass the Bill Kenwright acid test of donating a billion quid for a minority stake in the club?

City's main selling point was the new stadium. There is no way city would of been taken over by Sheik billionaires if they were still at Maine road, and the commonwealth games hadn't happened.

I still think our board should stick their hands in their pockets, just like the fans. Tight gits our board.

It was actually the possibility of building a Super Casino and redevelopment around Eastlands. That's how they envisage funding the club going forward.

Everton's selling points are - that the stadium isn't developed and there are untapped revenues.

I reckon we get Matt & Davek a forum of their own. Where they can bait each other, and take pictures and post them to themselves. Clearly this is a very drawn out form of flirting.

Is Davek, Matt's mysterious neighbour?

The cynic in me thinks:
Early bird season tickets will be announced shortly and in an effort to tempt people to renew this news 'leaks' out

The optimist thinks:
Deep joy our club is saved.
With Bill's track record I wouldn't like to put a bet on which scenario is true

Accounts due out tomorrow, Season Ticket Sales resuming shortly.
