Moyes decisions today.

Weird. I'm usually the first on the David Moyes "tactically stupid" gravy train, but I thought he made the correct subs at the correct time. Wigan were getting space in behind our midfield and the ball wasn't sticking up top, so he moved Pienaar centrally to control the ball at feet and Heitinga to protect "the hole" in front of our back four.

No complaints whatsoever. I think the OP is way off base here.

Gibsons a sitter mate. Attacking midfielders are the likes of Nasri, fabregas etc. he is absolutely nothing like them
He's not an attacking midfielder or a defensive one. He's more like a box-to-box midfielder, he has an equal role in all parts of the game, both attacking and defending.
Arteta's game was also nothing like Nasri or Fabregas, certainly in his last year or so with us, but he wasn't a defensive midfielder. Fellaini also doesn't play like either Nasri or Fabregas when playing behind the striker, when he's there he isn't a defensive midfielder either. Similarly Gerrard isn't a defensive midfielder for the kopites, but he doesn't play like Nasri or Fabregas.

No1 said he was a defensive midfielder (well i didnt) i said hes more of a defensive player than an attacking player. Hes sort of in the middle.

I like Moyes and dont think theres a better managers to keep the club "stable" however its this caution that keeps us from winning cups.

He just doesnt believe in out and attacking football. He always throws caution to the wind.

Why Barkley doesnt deserve at least a 20 minute cameo I dont know!

These 2 sentences contradict each other.

As for Barkley, he was wayward at Wednesday, showing only flashes of brilliance. We need steady heads with discipline and focus, i.e., experience. Bring him on when we're 3-0 up with ten minutes to go but not when we're trying to grind down another Premiership team.

Why uve mentioned before us i dont know. They draw one instead of a loss. Anyway they aint won in 7 and have lost 6

There's still a difference between winning a game and "blowing them over" - did you watch them play Arsenal?

Someone said that Moyes played six defenders which he has done before (like when he plays Heitinga and Neville in midfield) but just didn't today because Hitz and Gibson are too good with the ball to be defenders. It wasn't at all an uncreative purely destructive midfield.

Gibson is in my mind a more creative player than Fellaini.

Pretty sure the object of a game of football is to score more goals than the other team, thus winning the match.

Did we fail at this today or something?

Oh, but the way we did it was gash and we were too defensive and Messlay isn't getting a run and my FIFA 13 2-5-3 formation would destroy Wigan.

We got 3 points. Pretty sure you can't get more than 3 points out of a game.
