Here's the video if anyone wants to watch

Liverpool Echo.co.uk - Everton FC - News - VIDEO: Joleon Lescott has had his head twisted by Manchester City - Everton boss David Moyes

Moysie, fecking legend. Put Hughes right back into his box.

"We cant be getting offers with a week or two weeks to go until the deadline, we just cant do it".

Not a great statement to make if you yourself are trying to persuade other clubs to part with a player at this late stage I wouldn't have thought.

On the OS, Moyes hopes to have a couple of new players in, within the next 48 hours or so. Wonder who they could be...Elm and Taylor.

"We have got 13 or 14 players which I am happy with and we have some up-and-coming youngsters as well which gives us great hope," he said. "I hope maybe within the next 48 hours or so we will have a couple of new players added to the squad. If we do that then we will start to rebuild from the players we lost last season."

"I hear City think they are talking to people who make the decisions here, well that's me,"

Let Hughes and Moyesy have a straightner in the car park. Moyes would piss on him.

It can certainly be taken like that, but not every club is in the same position as us.

Unlike you to put a negative spin on it Dave. Are you feeling ok?

I think its more down to squad size, especially defence wise - we cant be selling players this late when we want to be bringing players in to boost the squad.

Other teams have bigger squads and its up to them to let players go.

Not really a call out for other clubs not to do business with us.

Fair points.

Yeah I thought the same at first, bit hypocritical. Then again Man City could have come in ages ago with that offer, but chose not too. We seem to make late bids because we're unable to get anything finalised/any cash any sooner! :(
