Moyes best season for you

07/08.

Baines, Jagielka, Pienaar and Yakubu in.

Had an awful spell near the end where we ran out of steam post Fiorentina but we were f*cking great that season, everyone (remember Lescott got more than most of our strikers ever have in a season this year) was scoring and some of the footy was spot on.

2008/09 was great for the 5th place and fa cup final with a squad decimated by injuries and after a horrible summer transfer window but some of the performances that season were about getting the result.

I'd echo the 2007/08 suggestions for the good football but also the only season under Moyes where we consistently played well in Europe and gave it a really good go on the continent.

To me it has to be the season just finished, he had stabilised us to the point of expectation, we were in with a shout in most matches, and we had again topped our neighbours (bragging rights are very important to me). The fact that he left at the end of the season also gives us a chance to get some one to take us forward with a modified style of play, something I don't think Moyes was capable of hence the longest trophy drought in our history

the season the BU were hot on Redcoats tail, the leaked club emails etc. all looked like Ken****e's reign was coming to an end but we brought in pub player jelavic from bily's sale and all was forgiven

07/08, best season and most exciting squad we have had under Moyes.

I won't forget that season in a hurry.

We were five points clear of Liverpool in fourth place and looking good for CL qualification.

And then in the March as Easter approached Moyes was offered a contract which he refused to sign.

As per this season, it all went south from then on.

Remember the game we lost at Fulham?

And then West Ham came to Goodison and took a point on Easter Saturday.

Another great opportunity spurned.

You really oughta let your hate go mate.

1. 2007-08. Pity we went into Italy cocky but we played some great stuff even producing a memorable tie on the day we got knocked out. Plus 5th with a thin squad an a heavy schedule.

2. 2004-05; "You don't have to imagine it now, just take it in" Best call ever.

3. 2008-09: FA cup final, seeing off Liverpool, Villa and man utd in the run up

Even though we got 4th in 04/05, I didn't enjoy watching us that year. We took some proper beatings (7-0 at Arsenal) and generally fluked a Champions League place due to Liverpool being so turd in the league. Obviously it had it's high points such as beating them at Goodison, the Newcastle game etc. If I could pick a single favourite season it would have to be 07/08 though. The Yak was ace and Arteta was at his absolute peak
