Moyes agrees "hands off deals" with Fellaini and Baines

How would this work ? We aren't releasing him from his deal it's expiring so what do we have to hold over him in negotiations ? It's possible I'd imagine he might say he'd do that but I can't see how we could insist on it because well frankly we can't can we ?

I've read this too. There might be a 'gentleman's agreement' but I can't see there being anything in writing. Anyway, Swansea were supposed to have had a 'hands off' clause with Rodgers and he still went back for Joe Allen.

If we're willing sellers then we'll want United to be in the race for Fellaini and Baines to drive up the price.

Baines wouldn't hand in a transfer request imo, he's not one for rocking the boat.

Said this at the game on Sunday but if Baines did turn down United last season when Ferguson was there, why would he suddenly jump ship with Moyes at the helm ?

Sure you can say Baines knows Moyes but you'd be a lot more confident in a United team led by Fergie than Moyes, and if you turn down not only the chance to go to the country's biggest club but also to work under the country's best manager why would you go the season after ?

I just can't see it.

DUH

He didnt join United cos he wanted to stay with Moyes, now Moyes is at United, well, you know the rest.

I will be so thankful for this, but it won't keep the likes of Chelsea and other clubs away.

I still think Fellaini is going.

I think we've all known Felli was off after the game against United at the start of the season

Baines is the one which I think we've got a better chance of retaining.

Not because he's worse than Felli but I think he just appreciates playing for the club more (Not that Felli doesn't of course)

I think it probably means that Utd won't start the auction for these players, but if an auction develops then they could get involved.
Remember the old days, when clubs bid against each other to buy a player...the good old days.
The biggest deterrent is that Evertons best players are on long term contracts and will be expensive to buy.

How long left on Baines and Barkley contract?

For years many of us have been saying that we have gone 'stale'. We've been a good side but actually winning a trophy, however 'minor', has been out of our reach.

A new manager may well persuade those who were considering moving on to stay.

I think Rooney's desire to leave United may have a lot to do with the guy coming in. Bad blood there perhaps. We've all heard tales of a shortfall in Moyes' approach to 'man management'.

Let's see how the new guy conducts himself with the squad. Our players may be filled with optimism and wish to stay.

They can have fellaini because although he is good he hasnt being playing that well and we can cope without him but we really want a bidding war to start with united city chelsea psg and a russia club . If we could get that to happen then he would go for 30million but i suspect he would be of to chelsea for 23-25 m. I dont want to loose baines he is a real valauble player . It might work out for us as hes 28 . United already have evra butter and fabio . If he doesnt go this window i think he will stay on unil his 30s .

On the wayne rooney subject i dont see why united dont offer a part exchange for lewandowski with rooney going the other way
