Moyes agrees "hands off deals" with Fellaini and Baines

There are ways round a gentleman agreement, he should have it written in his exit interview documents and signed. the only problem with this is, there is a risk of Felli becoming a minge and moaning about it and not playing

But why would he we have absolutely no leeway have we ? I'm not sure such Agreements are legally binding anyway but how can we make him do anything or sign anything his contract is expiring

Can just picture Kenwright and Moyes in the office. Kenwright on his knees, grovelling, tears streaming down his face.

"Please Davey! They hate me as it. That b*****d Blue Union will have a f*****g field day if you take Leighton and the hairy one! Don't do it. Please David. PLEASE!......... I'll dance for you. You'd like that wouldn't you, Dave? C'mon, you want Big Bill to dance? Yeah, you like that, don't you David?..... yeaahhhh!"

Afterwards, 'Big Bill' consoles himself with a Kinder Egg. He opens the surprise, only to find he's already got they toy inside.

He lies there, desolate. With a plastic frog 'on swap' and no manager. And just the faint hope that Moyes liked his dance enough to not rob his players.

The days of the boys' pen are but a distant memory.
If you can picture that, I worry for you.

Wouldn't be too down hearted if they took Fellaini, Baines is different though, not many leftbacks out there that can match his ability.

total rubbish ! if man city arsenal or chelsea come in for baines fellaini or jags even , do you think moyes and utd will just sit back and let them take them ?
if moyes wants them he will bid for them , theres no agreements that can be made and im sure utd would sack moyes on the spot if it was the case.

Baines wouldn't hand in a transfer request imo, he's not one for rocking the boat.

Said this at the game on Sunday but if Baines did turn down United last season when Ferguson was there, why would he suddenly jump ship with Moyes at the helm ?

Sure you can say Baines knows Moyes but you'd be a lot more confident in a United team led by Fergie than Moyes, and if you turn down not only the chance to go to the country's biggest club but also to work under the country's best manager why would you go the season after ?

I just can't see it.

Where did you hear/read that Baines turned down United? I remember the story about him rejecting Bayern when Van Gaal was there but nothing about United.

I do agree with you though. I don't think Baines will push for a move.

Nothing confirmed obviously, but a lot of knowledgeable people have indicated that was the case.

If there had been a release required for Manchester United to hire Moyes, there could have been a variation of a non-compete clause which would prevent Moyes from initiating transfer negotiations with Everton players, at the risk of damages, for X number of seasons.

But Moyes is out of contract at the end of the year so BK would have had no contractual leverage.

Moyes will just buy Rabiot and nickname him Fellaini.

Depends if baines wants to win trophies and he would defo become england 1 lb if he went

And th e other problem baines has 2 years on his contrract at the end of next season h will be cheap as chips

Can we set up something say £35m/£25m Fellaini/Baines like Swansea had with Allen so that if he does come in for them he'll have to meet an inflated price?

As Fellaini is obviously going, the important thing is how much they can get for him, not where he goes.

United won't come in for Jagielka IMO, they already have Fedinand, Vidic, Smalling, Evans and Jones at centre back, and I am sure there are other younger players they could source across Europe.

Baines is the tricky one, his loyalty might severely be tested. You can only hope that of he does go it will be at least 18-20m.
