My heart skipped a beat when I read that. Thanks for that :P

Could someone blow DM's ears and tell him about Katsouranis and Ezequiel Lavezzi?

One is D Mid who can score 7/8 goals per season. The other is some sort of AJ but much more gifted technically speaking.

Moutinho Katsouranis and Lavezzi.

And you may add Manuele Blasi from Napoli. I'd say Hamsik also, but I've never seen him play.

MOYES CLOSES ON DEAL FOR PORTUGAL STAR

MOUTINHO: Could join Ronaldo and Nani in England
Monday July 28,2008
By Paul Joyce

EVERTON’S battle to pull off one of the transfer coups of the summer intensified yesterday when Portuguese starlet Joao Moutinho went public on his desire to join David Moyes’ side.
Sporting Lisbon have already rebuffed one £12.5million offer for Moutinho, 21, but Everton’s hopes of landing the
player, rated at nearer £20m, were strengthened when Moutinho said he wanted to move to Goodison Park.

“Everton already made a proposal but Sporting did not accept it,” said Moutinho. “We will now see what happens in the next few days but Sporting already know my will, I have already transmitted it to the people.

“What is my will? With the reasons I have, I want to leave Sporting. I hope that an agreement can be found and that a good solution arrives for both parties.”

Moutinho, the latest talent to roll off the club’s production line after Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani, met Sporting chief Miguel Ribeiro Teles last Thursday to tell him he wanted to leave.

Everton will now return with a renewed offer, their efforts being marshalled by agent Pini Zahavi, who represents Moutinho and has strong links with the Everton hierarchy.

Their first bid was delivered by Zahavi and would have reached £15m if the club qualified for the Champions League.
A potential stumbling block would be the desire to pay Moutinho’s fee in instalments, but Everton’s coffers are set to be swelled by the exit of Andy Johnson.

Fulham could eventually end up paying a club-record £12m for the striker after Everton chairman Bill Kenwright insisted upon a series of lucrative add-ons. Fulham will initially pay £10.5m but, if all the incentives are triggered, the outlay would top the £11.5m spent on French striker Steve Marlet in 2001.

The deal represents good business for Everton, who paid £8.6m for Johnson two years ago – providing they can land a replacement.

Johnson, 27, who scored just six Premier League goals last season, began discussions on personal terms with the Londoners yesterday after being overlooked for Everton’s tour of America.

He was absent for Friday’s friendly with Nottingham Forest and did not accompany Moyes’ team to Chicago on Saturday.

Johnson pulled out of Everton’s game with Preston last week after learning Fulham’s bid had been accepted, claiming he was “not in the right state of mind” to play.

Everton play Chicago Fire on Wednesday before heading to Colorado.

Pretty much saying what we already know, but still good to see some positive paper talk

I hate this.

The player wants to come, we want him so why can't it be done now. Getting nervous that this is going to fall through.

Please get it done sooner rather than later, I don't think my nerves can take it.

obviously not a seasoned professional. Hang tight.

I'm really buzzing about this (hopefully) deal, really want this done quickly before clubs with a lot more money come in for him although having Zahavi putting our case, it's more hopeful than not.
