It didn't speak anything other than truth, bizarre how Evertonians react sometimes innit? Eto should have had 2, he really should have, proper, proper chances.

Did we really have that much? Struggling to think of many more that they didn't show.

We may have had more possession than they showed but I doubt showing us knocking it about would get shown no matter what.

You're right, possession isn't readily highlightable, and most of our attacking play didn't end with an effort on goal. But the job of highlights should be to reflect the general balance of the game. I know it must be a tough ask to condense 90 minutes like that, especially of the late kick-off, but I just thought it didn't give the sense of the game. We were better than that showed.

Guess it's all opinions.

For me they were all over us for large periods. Doesn't mean we didnt deserve the win, but the highlights showed all the key moments.

Chelsea had so many chances and they showed them all. We had a few chances and they showed them all.

Really? Barry's block on etto certainly saved a clear goal but as mouriniho said about our goal "they didn't create that, it was a mistake from our GK" surely the same applies the other way round? Etto's header? Was it any more clear cut than jelavic's? Schurrle's punt over the bar? Anymore clear cut than Naismith's miss? Hazzard's power shot? Anymore dangerous than mirallas's power shot saved by Czech?

My point being sure they had chances, so did we to add to our goal. Sure they had lots of possession but apart from that 10mims after H/T was it a backs against the wall? I don't think so....

You could say they were unlucky given the 90mins of football, but to make out it was one of those games where you dominate whilst the other team parks the bus is completely miss-Informed IMO.

Your point's fine, your welcome to think Mourinho was being a bit sour. I heard the interview, I didn't hear it that way. He certainly didn't think we parked the bus, the only comment I can remember him saying was he put an attacker on for a defender because we put a midfielder on for a forward, implying we were sitting back, which tactically was true, we were using Mirallas to counter attack.

He sounded more disappointed his team couldn't get a point (or three) than being disparaging towards us, really don't think there's any issue here what so ever.

Going to add from the interview after the game, he was asked loaded questions by the journalist to get the sound bites and reactions they want to hear from Jose.

He knew full well that Martinez had merely reshuffled and put Mirallas up in Jelavic's place when McCarthy came on.

He's just a spoilt child.

I know he can be, just didn't feel it in that interview. Meh, we should be talking about how well we played in any event.

Howard was only seriously troubled on one occasion (Ramires shot on 35') which speaks volumes of how hard we worked as a team. From that period up until the first quarter of an hour in the second half, we were under the pump. The decision by Martinez to sub the stumbling Jelavic for McCarthy and give Mirallas the lone striker's role was pivotal in getting us further up the pitch. Yes, we rode our luck at times but it's brilliant to think that we got the job done with so much upside to look forward to.
