Stereolab are one I missed. First five albums are peerless, bit of a dip after that but still ace.

I love how many layers they have. One min you think it's dinner party music and then there is some drone and they are singing about communist China lol

What an opening tune. Beautifully stark crescendos.

I saw them at The Showbox in Seattle on their tour for Lost Souls. Firesuite was great. Sea Song was another that stood out.

The three song run of Catch the Sun, The Man Who Told Everything, and The Cedar Room on the record is an amazing listen. Darker was a hidden track on the US release. What a tune that was too.
