I'm not sure how he wants to play, as a deep lying midfielder suits us. If he can get more box to box he has a chance. I suspect he might be moved on if we can get reasonable money for him.

I think we all might be wide of the mark with his lack of effort and he's actually just not that good. Couple of good seasons with Southampton where things just fit into place for him but since then absolutely nothing. Injuries might have taken their toll.

Hasn’t got the mentality to be a top player, can’t play unless everything is going in his favour and never in it when under pressure. Get rid, we’ve got better younger players like Beni and Joe Williams who can do what he does.

I was worried when we bought him because two different managers didn't only drop him but dropped him from their squads and there was rumours he didn't impress the other Utd players. That said Davies hasn't been playing great either.

Hopefully both will just play themselves back into a bit of form.
