May 14th, against Kansas City. 12 rows back near one of the corner flags....me and the two eldest. Hopefully Landon can see me in my Everton shirt and make me swoon :D

Before you go, tell Landon on twitter to look out for someone whereing* an Everton kit by the corner.

*intentional this time

Section 140.....:D

Goal explosion for NE this weekend. 3 goals, Feilhaber assisted on the 1st and was instrumental in drawing a red card on KC (via flop?).

3 goals really is a major achievement for this squad, even if they were playing a terrible KC team.

Great result, and hopefully we'll do the same against another crap team this week (Chivas). I really don't want Shalrie up top, though.

In all honestly, you guys are a completely different squad with him - your attacking prowess goes up 10 fold. I don't think he's amazing, but he is solid, and so much better than other alternatives. The three goals demonstrate that. He brings some creativity.

But bizarro with Shalrie up top eh? I was like, what the what?????? He's one of the best holding midfielders in the league and you move him? I would think him and Benny would get along like bread and butter in the middle. Find another forward and let these two do what they do best.

MLS - will always be a bush league unless and until they get serious about referees. I've yet to see a Toronto FC game this season (and most other seasons) where the ref did not impact the result one way or another, with poor / ridiculous decisions.

Saturday - first he gives the worng TFC player a yellow card (Martina pushes Columbus player, yert Tchani gets the yellow), then when Tchani scores his first goal, and celebrates with the supporters (did not remove shirt, did not actually go into the crowd) he gets a second yellow. But when Columbus score, and their scorer runs right up to TFC fans with finger to lips - no card.

Consistency: goalie falls over his own player, gets a free kick. Then goalie is barged in the air by opponent before ball arrives - no free kick.

Oh, and by the way, this ref was Canadian. It seems to be an MLS ref your nationality is not an issue, as long as you're useless.

CanadaTofee as a Canadian you should know that just about all refs from the CONCACAF region are AWFUL.

On another note, I am seriously considering attending a Red Bulls game this season. Will have to see if I have the time. Last MLS game I went to was the MetroStars.

Agreed - if you remove the bold words above.

There's a reason CONCACAF didn't send any refs to the World Cup. (Then again, Mali did, and look what we ended up with.) Oh, and MLS doesn't control the refs, but the USSF and Canadian soccer federation do. So Don Garber will be taking it up with them, and after this weekend, he will be for sure (plus the celebratory yellows might be discussed). There might be some good to come out of two terrible events this weekend in the sense that the quality of the refs should be talked about. Don't know what will be done, but the spotlight has been shone.

Extratime - good for you! What made the difference? And let me tell you, this is the season to join up with NY - NY is getting hot and they are looking good. I would recommend for the best experience avoiding buying anything in the month of June - you'll have stars go missing for international duty across the league for the Gold Cup, and that's no fun. Personally, I'd recommend the LA game on 8/28 or RSL on 9/21. Sooner? Then maybe the Rapids game in May...

MLS refereeing standards may be high but the actual quality is shockingly low.

MLS quality has steadily improved since the league debut in 1996. Too bad the referee quality has made no real strides.

I need to go to a Galaxy game also; I've never been to a game. It's only a little over an hour drive for me.

I did buy a group of tickets for the Gold Cup final at the Rose Bowl. I'm hoping it will be US-Mexico or US-Costa Rica!

Me too! I've been waiting to buy mine since it's a plane flight to go there and I want to make sure the US is in, but I'm a little worried it'll be sold out or only nose bleed seats left by the time I do. Fingers crossed.

Oh RSL. Bummer for you guys tonight. We heart you for making it so far in the tournament anyway. Big step for MLS, and you guys were a great team out there.

***************(and now back to our regularly scheduled programming)

Hope Saborio continues to not show up for you, cause he sucked tonight. I am now back to hoping you lose, lose, lose.

I fear for the Timbers. I suspect they are in for a spanking this weekend by a remorseful RSL team.

Anyone else excited for NY vs LA this weekend? I am!!!!!!! I just hope we don't get thumped. And I hope JPA scores one on his old team.

Juan Agedulo is my new man crush. He really seems this good. He will be in Europe by the start of the 2012 season. He just looks that good. I hope he schools the LA beach goers.
