Looks SICK!!

Can they fill it Bill?

Oh yeah.

Only 22,000 seats. We avg 16k to 17k but the stadium will bring quite a few more in. If we're performing on the field, then we'll do alright.

I can't wait to pick my seats.

Im really jealous. That looks like an ace stadium, and all DC can get is sh**ty RFK. (I love RFK to death, but its a dump. It has been since the late 80's).

Dude. At least you have a stadium. One of the reasons why I can't support the Earthquakes and chose the Galaxy instead (a travesty for someone from NorCal) is that the Earthquakes play on the equivalent of a lame college pitch. It is TEENY and NARROW. It sucks and it creates ZERO atmosphere. The Quakes need a new stadium badly. They'll probably get it in the next couple of years.

And the article on parity is an interesting one - I'm all for creating some goliaths - I want to see good soccer, not average soccer all the time. Improving the game through some decent top-tier teams will make EVERYONE step up their bar. I think we've seen this in the last couple of years as teams get better.

Within reason though - I do not want MLS to become La Liga with only two teams that matter. That is incredibly boring to watch.

It is pretty fantastic that there are more and more SS stadiums in the mls and they are all gorgeous to boot. It's a shame my one buddy left the Houston area, otherwise a Union away match would be more reasonable. Bill where is the location of the new stadium is it near Tropicana? What will the backdrop be like?

Charile Davies is on a tryout at DC United. TRYOUT. Won't be suprised if he doesn't play for the national team again.

Minute Maid? Yeah, on the other side of Hwy 59 that runs north to south on the east side of downtown.

Don't know much else about it at present but the supporters are all pretty excited about it. One more year in Robertson and that's it.

Guess I got my OJ sponsors mixed up. As far as Charlie Davies goes, if he can get most of his speed back I wouldn't discount him from the USMNT just yet. He is still young and he still has time. It will be though though for him to get back into the squad with new talent coming in Burnbury, Aguedala and possibly Mwanga(Id bet on him being in the system in 2012 at the latest) and Zakuani. I think Davies will go on loan to DC United and do decently during the season.

Is the new Houston stadium easy to get to from the airport? As a Sounders supporter, I am always looking forward to traveling to away matches especially to nice new SSS.

I also can't wait to see that new one in Sporting Kansas.

It is pretty cool that most of the clubs have a pre-season down here in Arizona.

Looks like Davies scored again in a scrimmage. You know what guys, he might just make it onto the team methinks...
