Is the new Houston stadium easy to get to from the airport? As a Sounders supporter, I am always looking forward to traveling to away matches especially to nice new SSS.

I also can't wait to see that new one in Sporting Kansas.

It is pretty cool that most of the clubs have a pre-season down here in Arizona.

It'll be in downtown so not really. About a 25-30 minute drive from either Bush Intercontinental or Hobby. We don't have any kind of mass transit rail (not like Chicago, NY, etc...) so you'll be renting a car or taking a cab.

Good luck Nordecke - I think it's going to be extremely tough to beat RSL. It's amazing how much Columbus has turned over. But you've got the talent to do it.

I'm just excited an MLS team has a chance to get to the finals!

Seriously, what is up with Shalrie and Alston at the Revs? I'm embarrassed for them and you'd think at this point Shalrie after the last year he's had would know better. Do we think either of them is making it back? Alston maybe.

The new stadium in Houston is going to be such a step up for the team and fans... Robertson has a lot of great views... but is low class other than that... players will now have real locker rooms.... the stadium is going to be on the east side of downtown....

The Dynamo also have an awesome new practice facility opening up.... great time to be a fan of the Orange.

Add in the fact that Dom has lowered the average age of the squad by several years....and added some nice looking young talent... good things ahead I believe.

Parity is one of the few things that MLS has going for it. We aren't Europe and the squads in smaller cities just won't go if there is little chance of fielding a winner. Its why baseball is dead all but a handful of cities and why the NFL is more popular than ever. Concequently lack of parity hurts football throughout the world. It robs us of the chance of a team to watch teams built around a certain star just so they could be a bit player in a superclub.

Ok...so on Ford's suggestion, I turn on the Dynamo vs. FC Dallas preseason match on ESPN 3 last night just in time to see Francisco Navas-Cobo drill a 35 yard shot into the top corner to tie the match up in minute 89.

Lost on penalty kicks but who cares. What a shot !!! 45 seconds in....WOW !!!

Yes... that shot was a laser... good to see some young talent coming up through the squad... hope for good things from him and Danny and the draft picks from this year...

Tuesday cannot get here soon enough. Especially since I have to wait over a week to see Everton play...

Ugly game of football tonight, but an LA win! I have to say though - Seattle fans, that pitch is useless in the rain. I have never seen a bigger slip and slide.

Challenge Accepted.

If you think that was an ugly game to watch, try standing for two hours in miserable rain while absolutely nothing happens until the away side score a laser from 25, and your striker misses an absolute sitter not ten minutes later.
That one felt way too much like an Everton match. :dodgy:

Wow. Just wow.

Mud pits are awesome too.

I stand corrected.

That striker must have been like, "what did I do to deserve this?"

Oof. That makes me feel better about life somehow.
