Going to Rapids home opener agaist the Timbers. Wife got us Some season Ticket pkg. Not all the games , but the good ones.

LA Galaxy, Real Salt Lake, Housten ( 3rd of July ) and a few others. Looking forward to it. Pablo getting old for the Rapids hopefully he has a few good years left.

Casey, Cummings up front again.
 

Was able to watch the Seattle vs. LA match in my hotel room and I've got to say that Juninho's strike was very nice.

Other than that, I hate watching football on artificial turf. Hate it.

It was terrible wasn't it? Ball skipping around, ball deadening, passes looked terrible (when David Beckham is misplaying passes you know it's bad - golden foot and all). Also - players with speed HATE running on that thing - injury waiting to happen. Landon was definitely playing it safe.

Juninho is good for those a few times a season - he has a killer long distance strike.
 

T minus 3 hours to the Houston Dynamo home opener vs. the Philadelphia Union (and that punk Carlos Ruiz).
 
Anyone else excited for the DC United game? I am, despite myself -- last season was so, so bad, but I'm curious to see how things will turn out this year. I love Ben Olsen and I'm excited to see what he'll do as coach. It could go either way but I think the players really respect him.

I'm also a huge fan of Andy Najar. Can't wait to see him playing in Europe someday.

TX Bill, re: Charlie Davies -- I am cautiously excited. Another interesting, surprising move at DC United this season. I think we should give him a chance but keep an eye on our other options.
 
And I just saw that Onstad is starting in goal, wow. Really wanted to watch this but can't find a working stream, grr. Might watch Seattle then..
