Arsenal are making such a bold move here if this goes ahead. Its obvious they rate him highly and there were reports that they were gutted he went to City in a coaching capacity because they wanted to have him work under Wenger before taking over. I can't help thinking back to that game at the Etihad however when Guardiola got sent off after the RS (surprise surprise) were saved a wrongly disallowed goal. Arteta seemed reluctant to step into the technical area all second half, there was certainly a heavy void on the touchline that Arteta couldn't fill.
So fair play to Arsenal, they are taking a big risk that I feel has come to soon for Arteta but it is refreshing in a way to see a big club make an appointment like this; contrast this with Chelsea's yearly hunt for the most sure thing out there only to punt them when the managers refuse to work under the constraints any longer though.
Of course Arteta might be the yes man they need after Wenger, I don't think we can dismiss that possibility.
