Midtable mediocrity.

Still honestly believe we'll be fine. Our defence does seem to struggle at the moment, but that will be sorted out eventually. During the last few years, they proved to be one of the strongest and reliable back four plus goalkeeper in the PL, and that won't change overnight.

One plus point is, that we're proving to be absolutely lethal in front of goal. Something that will even improve, when Pienaar, Vaughan and Saha are fully match fit. Hope we can kick start our season against the RS next week.

I'll be bumping this thread when we get things sorted out in back.

Once that happens, we'll start rolling because we aren't having any problem putting the ball in the back of the opponent's net.

I can't remember the last time we banged this many in over a short amount of time.

Personally the summers events have caught up with us they dont look like a team yet,but thats what happens when you leave signing players to the last moment.

Top 10 finish for sure..europe though *could* be another matter, time will tell

Iv said all along were 5 games behind every one else. Once we click we have a real team on are hands. Fellaini, Castillo, Saha could prove to be the difference. An when Cahill an Ossie are match fit again, You'll see the real Everton. Just give it time, it's a long distance run not a sprint.

HOOOOOOO [Poor language removed] RRAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I think we will be in top 6 at the end of the season, the lateness of our transfers and to be honest losing out on our first choices , has cost us any chance of top 4 this season.but its all part of being a blue(y)

I just find it funny we were all worried about banging goals in being that AJ left, and that everyone thought defence was all sorted (minus Neville bashing).

Now you cant stop us banging em in, but its the back thats a worry.

When it'll click, it will click. Just takes a result against a big or on form team.

To be fair I'd love a win in the derby but cant see it. But the big scalp I want is Citeh! The most of the goals they scored against Pompy were defensive shockers (long balls from Citeh's half out did em). Just love to get a result away like we did last season against them.

I hadn't looked at the table this season, figuring from some of the stuff here that we're miles away from anything, but lo and behold we're just 3 points from the top 4.

Considering the state of our squad we're really not in that bad a position. I know the opposition havn't been up to much thus far but when we get a full team out we'll give most teams a run for their money.

Lets hope its against thr RS this saturday. By rights, they are heavy favourites. However, and i speak as someone who always dreads games against them, i feel we might just get something this saturday

True, we're not far behind, but if you look at the position of the teams we have faced so far, only Hull is above us! It's not like we've faced the topteams and managed to grab 7 points. When you look at the fixtures we've had I don't think any team have had an easier start to the season.. and I dread the coming month. If we play like we've done so far this season, I can't see us grabbing many, if any, points until November. :(

That's the spirit, mate. I would just be so happy if we can stuff those bastards. This is the one fixture of the season that really matters to me. Any other individual game in isolation, I can take a loss. But not this one.

Everton 2 Liverpool 1

Yakubu, Neville o.g.
Saha

COYB(y)

I really thought before the transfer window closed that we'd finish somewhere in the middle of the table and now I'm not so sure. We've proved we can play and we just need our defence to wake up. 3 own goals already has cost us points or we'd be right up there with the RS. Saha looked good when he came on so if he stays fit he's gonna be a sound player for us. Keep getting behind them and they'll do the business for us.

once the back line find their feet we'll kool and the gang...we are scoring for fun, i think it's going to be just fine

Worried about our defense. Howard looks pathetic at the moment the Neville OG should never have happend. I just hoping his sickness is still lingering and hes not 100%. The defense just doesn't seem as confident as last year but I hopeful it can still improve. If not midtable it is.
