2025/26 Michael Vincent Keane

Hel go back out of the team in due course mains, Branthwaite is special, but hex again really contributed, great business in the summer his renewal has been.
Keane isn't just Branthwaite's automatic backup, I like Branthwaite as we all do but his position isn't untouchable. I'd say Pickford is the only squad member who really is unbenchable.

In the past this lad has worn the armband once or twice. Dips in form, long periods out of the starting 11 and new signings really stopped him being a player in that conversation. But I would say given recent form and club longevity he'd be a good vice Captain after Tarky, who is definitely still a fantastic captain even when not on form.

Not sure there's a player less suited to being captain to be fair

Nobody really wanted him to stay in an ideal world, but due to not being able to fix everything in one window, and the injuries Branthwaite has suffered with, we have really needed him to step up this season and thankfully he has. Deserves credit for not letting his head drop despite the negativity and performing like a true Evertonian. Kudos.

it’s more as if his previous dodgy errors

we were all dubious

but he’s been great

Interesting from the bobble that it’s only coming out now about other lucrative offers. We still don’t know who the other centre back we were supposed to be signing to replace him is either.

He was linked with Wolves and West Ham in Jan 23. Only thing I saw last year was the he was potentially going to the MLS.
