He's been very harshly treated. He deserved pillorying at times as he panicked on occasion. But too many enjoyed going after him. I mean we all do it. Patterson is one I did it too, so Ilm not absolving myself...but then he deserved it as he has no redeeming qualities AT ALL.

Once again, this lad is fantastic. A really good example not just of a football player but a person who's come out the other side of their struggles with a positive attitude and been able to make the best of things.

Was always over the top stuff. When you look over his Everton career he’s contributed.
Always felt he had the unfair misfortune of being linked with the Steve Walsh era, while others were being snake charmed by Brands, then the unfair presumption of nepotism with Dyche - who himself was resented for no good reason.
Hel go back out of the team in due course mains, Branthwaite is special, but hex again really contributed, great business in the summer his renewal has been.

He's in proper form and good for him but some shouts of "ah it was just a blip" or whatever when he was the worst defender in the team and cost us a goal whenever he played with an individual mistake for about 2 years was also true.

In the past this lad has worn the armband once or twice. Dips in form, long periods out of the starting 11 and new signings really stopped him being a player in that conversation. But I would say given recent form and club longevity he'd be a good vice Captain after Tarky, who is definitely still a fantastic captain even when not on form.
