Mina and Zouma please.

Let`s pair the two potentially best centre halves we have and see how we get on.

* won`t happen though.

Zouma cant play Chelsea, so if we do this against Brighton it means going three game on the run without the same pair twice, that would be madness, has to be Keane and Mine for the next two at least and if they do well at the bridge he might stick with it

Tbh, I can't see the sense in dropping Keane. He's got to play v Chelsea if fit, and the other CB will most likely be Mina.

Makes sense for Mina and Keane to play together v Brighton to have a game against a slower attacker in Murray where a lack of pace isn't going to be as much of an issue.

The Echo got the details from an interview in the Sunday Times;

"It all started in a Carabao Cup tie against Sunderland, when former Everton forward James Vaughan launched a two-footed tackle on Keane, missed by the referee, and for which he later apologised. The challenge opened a wound in Keane's right foot which needed eight stitches to close, but for which the repercussions went on for almost four months. Keane spoke for the first time about the problem to The Sunday Times'Jonathan Northcroft."

In fact, the Echo had revealed the problem in an interview with Keane in January, though not in the same shocking detail. And then the gash opened.once again.

Poor lad. I am glad he is back and performing. Shocking lack of care from Everton to its player though if we were risking the lad's foot. I know it was desperate, but I hope we are in a far better place even if it's less than a season ago, and if someone went down, they would have cover in the position to allow them to return from injury without undue haste.

excited to see keane and mina together. keane has been very strong and very good defensively with his head. mina will dominate at lcb and will hopefully be better from corners and set pieces

Last season he had no aggression, couldn't pass, couldn't win a header, made silly mistakes and I genuinely thought we were going to struggle to even get rid of him.

This season he's ultra aggressive, pings the ball around, never loses a header, and rarely makes mistakes.

For someone who apparently struggled mentally last season, he's proved he has a lot about him turning his career with us around.

:cheers:
