Nebbiolo

Valuation: £108 million
I can't say I was at all impressed with his performance last night. It's wrong to judge on just one game but I've a feeling that we need to be bringing in better potential than this guy. Or am I wrong?

I didnt think he played well yesterday but i did see glimpses of potential. I have said before that if he signs i dont think he will be an automatic first team choice and i think he would need much coaching and time to adapt to the pace of the leauge, he certainly cvame of second best against a prem quality midfeild which raises questions. I was compleatly unimpressed with what he did with the ball, but i thought his engine was good and some of his positional play wasnt bad i liked his will though. At best i think innitialy he would be a squadie signing with much to prove to get into our first team but some potential there.

I dont think hes a frills type of player but, someoe who keeps the play ticking over and breaks up attacks, his height could be abn advantage in the box and he lasted one of in the second half that made James work which suggest their might be a bit of goal scoring in him.

I don't there has ever been a single American outfield player worth having, McBride is the best one and he was only average at best.

McBride was too one footed he always had to switch to his favoured foot .

I've seen a couple good tackles by him (which is the weak part of his game). Other than that he sits in defence more on the national team. The US is only dangerous on set pieces and corners so team sits back in defence alot.

I've said if we do get him he'll be a good player, but its going to take a few months to a year for him to get used to the Prem. That's why I was hoping we'd be able to keep Carsley for another year. Remember he's only 20.

How I see it is he's not going to be one of our big signings at 3/4 million. He'll come here as a squad player, boost the numbers and hopefully develop under someone like Cahill.

He's still young, Moyes has obviously seen something in him and from what I've seen of him at Heerenveen he has the atrrtibutes to make it here given time.

He must have something about him. Teams like Everton and Hamburg wouldn't be interested if he wasn't a promising player. Whether we sign him or not Moyes knows best. Moyes knows what players are suited to this League and if Bradley is right he'll bring him in.

Very dissapointed with him last night. But everyone can have a clanger every now and then. Moyes has seen him enough to pass any judgement. Still think Manny is the way to go.

good motor, uses both feet, keeps it simple and seems to be able to pass fairly well (yet to be proved really) BUT, has a first touch to rival Victor.
presume, because of his goal scoring record that Davy Moyes wants him as cover for Tim Cahill

He is buying him as replacement for Carsley, forget where he plays for his club, moyes is buying him were he plays for his country and on that basis, simply not good enough

He is just 20 years old, that means he would have more time to improve himself in Prem. and our squad. If I were Moyes, I would go to US camp immediately to sign him. (y)

To be honest I'm scared he will be similar to Nugent in that we all wanted him but after his Pompey games glad we didn't
