It's me and only me. Sadly and gladly.I don't know if you are only 1, I don't read every post.
"there's a chance"
I had been operating all wrong with my earnest fright and disgust earlier in the thread. For that I apologise. There's some old cases to go over, there's some dead people need blaming for their own deaths at the hands and bullets of others.
Marvellous.
The carrot and the stick, 'twas ever thus...You go over them to your hearts content.
I'll stick with this.

I always find it quite astonishing that people are happy for the Police to batter whoever they please.
Bet there’s people on here who’d have cheered on the Police at Orgreave aswell. Scabs.
Best I can do. A virtual tazering. This is me everyone, and very specifically only me. I'm happy to plead guilty straight off the bat here. Fortunately this is the internet and I'm unlikely to get tazered and booted round the floor for my trouble, but who knows nowadays...

Some of us are able to judge each individual case on its own merits.
Some of us use the words pigs and filth no matter what they do.
Personally I think the Police are humans, humans are very flawed and emotional creatures, so errors will occur.
What is the answer? Defund the Police? I do enjoy the Mad Max films, but I suspect it would become tiring after a few weeks.
You're comparing the Miners strike to this
Youve won the post of the day
Fantastic.
I find myself in almost complete agreement with you but like I said if he’s charged but convinces the jury he’s innocent of any crime I wouldn’t be particularly upset either to be honest.Do we use that excuse when Barry from Hull kicks some fellas head in outside the pub? Hes only human after all.
Do I understand the Police Officers reaction? Absolutely. Do I understand the need for self-defence? 100%. Doesn’t stop the fact what he did was wrong/illegal.
Sets a dangerous precedent if you start allowing police to break the law because someone’s “bad”.

Yeah you can understand the reaction but they are trained not to react like this. Police see horrific things everyday and have to act in a restrained and appropriate manner.Do we use that excuse when Barry from Hull kicks some fellas head in outside the pub? Hes only human after all.
