They’re trained to the highest of standards as Armed Response & this is absolute basics. That Armed Response Officer is in the wrong job if he’s allowing his emotions take over his training.

I presume you've never been in a physical fight? U can have all the training in the world and still have blind rage. Ever seen a mate getting a beating? You'd jump in with both feet, freeze or leg it. It's basic human response.
Professional fighters lose their minds on occasion, mike tyson ear bite springs to mind. They train every day.
I imagine the cops don't get a huge amount of self defence training. Maybe we could build AI robocops and take the human side out completely?
Also, I'm sure that was a decent, upstanding member of the community he kicked. Can't say I've ever been arrested coming off a plane, nor has anyone I know.
Let's scrap the police completely and see how some people cope when it's totally lawless

‘While attempting to arrest one of the suspects of the earlier altercation, three officers were subject to a violent assault, where they were punched to the ground.

‘A female officer suffered a broken nose and all three were taken to hospital for treatment. As the attending officers were firearms officers, there was a clear risk during this assault of their firearms being taken away from them.

‘Four men were arrested at the scene for affray and assault on emergency service workers. We acknowledge the concerns of the conduct within the video, and our Professional Standards Directorate are assessing this.’

Doesn't it suggest the armed officers arrived to assist the assaulted unarmed ones?
You seem to have a real hatred of the cops. I've met one person like that in my life, he used to regularly beat his missus and got locked up and lost his job.

Mate jump on someone’s head in the street you’re almost certainly going to jail whatever the circumstances. It’s viewed ridiculously seriously , and rightly so , he’s not given the lad a crack he’s stamped on his head .

I’ve no idea of the circumstances but it’s incredibly difficult to justify that unless you’re dealing with a threat to life . London Bridge the plod nigh on executed someone but it was perfectly justified because of the presence of a bomb vest etc. Without evidence being in the public domain what we’ve seen looks extremely tough to justify and that copper will do well not to be stood in the dock.

I’ve never been arrested coming off a plane therefore they must be bad guys feels like a proper slippery slope to go down to be honest as well .

I'm not sure that the cops would go to the extremes of tracking down someone who'd come off a flight if they were accused of nicking sweets but I take your point.
