I completely agree here, but the important part we mustn't forget is context (perhaps waiting for a full, unedited video) and whether the law has been broken.

This is Dalian Atkinson. He was kicked in the head and killed by vicious police scum who then tried to deny his actions.

kicking anyone in the head is an overt violent act and a crime. The stomping then after is attempted murder.
They'll give the scum in uniform a medal, a raise and make him head of ethnic minority relations for this.

But the Police don't give them out.
Atkinson was trying to kill his Father, excessive force was used and the Officer was punished for it.

I just feel Atkinson is a " bad" example to use.
You could use the other thousands of "worse" examples.
In fairness, the Just Stop Oil lads will probably serve a couple of years rather than the full 5 sentence.
They hurt no one, in fact only spoke on a zoom call. monk was in a position of trust and care and then told great big lies to try to save his own skin.
And Dalians cold dead body was on the slab.
That case I used because of the 'kick' element and the then loss of life.
