It is incredibly important that power is held to account, and breaches of trust and cases of criminality have the light of truth and justice shone upon them. Though some opinions may be crass to a few, we all have to strive for a better world where hearts and minds are won, where trust is earned, and the ruling class do so not by fear.

I think people being furious with this report on top of the past 3-4 years of increasingly horrific stories coming out about abuses of power is justified to be honest
Especially in light of certain attitudes held in some threads surrounding similar though not exactly the same aspects of day to day criminality and tragedy.

To clarify, he was eventually tried in the big house, but was found not guilty. The Met however did sack him and pay out.
True, which is crazy he wasn’t found guilty but that’s a bit of a side note to the fact Starmer and the CPS originally had tried to avoid opening a case because of conflicting coroners reports really isn’t a good look for a future leader of a supposedly left wing party

IIRC, he changed his statement three times, initially claiming Tomlinson had attacked him. But this is an old arrangement. Like the kid with his skull smashed in, that was recently cleared after 13 years under investigation for peacefully protesting tuition fee rises. He was suspect #1 for 13 years, whilst the cctv and the word of the other officers at the scene were non existent.

To be fair, I wasn’t the one who glorified Moat and Cregan (and don’t think that was the point of that post) and my post which went too far I personally reported myself for and asked to have it removed.
Regarding calling them scum and pigs etc, I don’t know. Is it eloquent? No. Is it a reasonable reaction to what’s been shown in the recent findings? Well I guess that depends on a individual’s social sensibilities. Personally as I say I think it’s reason to have a emotional reaction to such horrific and brazen abuses of power
