Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Well it was the U18s Blue in the FA Youth Cup, that’s part of the problem , Harrison has hardly played for the u21s because he’s been sitting on the bench . A bit of a risk but hopefully a good chance to get regular men’s football and more game time.

On a similar topic , the U18s are playing in the FA Youth Cup tonight and it’ll be on Everton tv and free for season ticket holders/ members . @Val P , it’ll be worth a watch if you get chance , you’ll see most of the players who’ll be at the BMD match . A good chance to nod your head and say knowledgable things like “ I’ve watched that Braiden Graham , he’s going to be some player “ as they walk out onto the BMD pitch 🙂
It was more the ability to score than his experience ,saying that it only comes with game time so yes I bow to the two wiser men and it should be better for him than warming the bench.

The description of Graham reminds me a little of Shayne Lavery of whom much was expected as well. Still has a decent career mind you.
Yeah I remember Lavery well , short , stocky ginger haired scored a few goals but was never going to progress far with us . Last I saw him was playing in League 1 , as you say having a decent career .

Morning all, beautiful clear start here. Another noisy day in prospect as they are resurfacing our road this week. Yesterday one of the workers parked his machine on our run up, very bright headlights shining in our living room, engine running and went off for an hour presumably to have his lunch. Parking there not an issue, our car was parked round the corner as the road is closed but he could have turned the blummin thing off, the whole house was vibrating.🤬 Rant over, have a good day, all.💙

Lost 1-0 to Plymouth Argyle , oh dear

Think I've just seen the dumbest Tiktok video ever.

"Canada it's decision time. Continue to be ruled by the Queen of England. Or gain your independence by becoming part of the United States of America "

You couldn't make it up.😀
All this nonsense plus Greenland and taking over Gaza is promulgated by that idiot Trump.

You could laugh at it and say it was just the ramblings of a madman until you realise that he's the most powerful man in the world.

I'm not sure what is more frightening - his madness or that millions of Americans lap it up and voted for him.

Mind you we have this madness on this side of the Atlantic too with millions of buffoons being persuaded to vote for the economic suicide that is called Brexit.

Morning everyone,

Beautiful morning here so after gym it's time to get stuck back into the garden.

Mum is becoming increasingly fractious. She's somehow got it into her head that we are going to dump her into a care home when we utilise respite care for 2 weeks in June.

Have a lovely day everyone
Se is old and frail and we perhaps would feel the same at her age . A smile and a promise might just sway her .

Good afternoon everybody. Its a lovely clear day here. I'm so glad it's Wednesday and I didn't have to go to work. All washing done. I've decided that the rest of February is going to be super healthy to work off the Guinness and the very generous portions served in Irish food establishments! So, off to the gym later.
Charlotte had her 28 week scan yesterday and they gave her a 3D picture. It's unreal. Technology can be amazing. You can clearly his face. He's a little chunk - according to the measurements, he already weighs 4lbs!
Chris had another round of treatment on Monday - all went well.
Enjoy the rest of your day folks x

My Mum would often accuse us wanting her “out of the way” as she put it, either in a home or just upstairs. Putting her to bed in the lighter evenings became increasingly difficult as she would maintain it was the middle of the day even though it was late evening. One evening after trying to get her into bed and not being able to convince her of the time, my brother suggested she ring me and I would confirm that it was in fact 10pm not 3pm, she replied “Well she would say that, you’ve told her to.” Occasionally she had moments when the fog cleared and she would apologise for being what she called a “pestulence”. The word stuck and now anyone in the family being a bit arsy is called a “pestulence”. I know Mum would see the funny side, she loved a laugh.

On a similar workman related rant, why do they leave the front door wide open while they are working nowhere near it?? Between letting heat out and mice in it always annoys me.

I watched an episode of Frasier today and the plot was around his Dad (Marty) struggling with the role reversal in that he was abiding by his son’s rules in his house. I did find myself pondering how I would react to that? See it as a passage of life or will I always feel like Dad? It would be nice to live that long and find out I guess 😀
