Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this fine one here .I hope all are well and wake to the new dawn in a great state of mind . So one signing and one out on loan .I am not too happy about that .the incomer looks OK but Harrison out just shows Moyes is still not happy about giving youngsters a chance . I hope all have a fantastic day COYB
It’s either a very high risk strategy or a prudent one from the club. 3 wins means almost certain safety and that is very attainable now. However, more injuries could prove very costly and we’re back to the Keane up top shouts. If it means we can get the required standard in the summer and not waste money on dross now then I can get behind it. Still a bit too risky though for my liking.

Given that Harrison scored a hattrick for the reserves and showed so well I am surprised he was let out on loan

Well it was the U18s Blue in the FA Youth Cup, that’s part of the problem , Harrison has hardly played for the u21s because he’s been sitting on the bench . A bit of a risk but hopefully a good chance to get regular men’s football and more game time.

On a similar topic , the U18s are playing in the FA Youth Cup tonight and it’ll be on Everton tv and free for season ticket holders/ members . @Val P , it’ll be worth a watch if you get chance , you’ll see most of the players who’ll be at the BMD match . A good chance to nod your head and say knowledgable things like “ I’ve watched that Braiden Graham , he’s going to be some player “ as they walk out onto the BMD pitch 🙂

Good tip - I always like to sound like I know things 😂. Even though I may not.

What do you think of Braiden Graham? He seems to have settled in well by all accounts.

Yes he has settled well , he’s a cracking player , the best of our 1st year intake for me , they’re the ones who joined last August , Armstrong is a 2nd year. He’s got a natural goalscoring ability about him , decent pace too , strong enough but may need to grow a bit . If he progresses as he’s done, and the club stabilise a bit , I could see him getting a bench spot this season as a reward .

The description of Graham reminds me a little of Shayne Lavery of whom much was expected as well. Still has a decent career mind you.
