Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Evening guys, it’s been a long day. At six o’clock this morning Kay was lying on the floor, she sleeps downstairs m next to the bed fast asleep. Managed to get her up changed and back in bed and she slept. It frightened the life out of me. She has a small bruise on her forehead and arm but otherwise ok. At the doctor’s in the afternoon she was checked out and was fine. The Doctor then talked about me and assistance. She has referred me to some NHS services to gain support other than social care for Kay because I can handle all that. I told her we needed a blue badge for Kay and she said they would do all that for me, which was a weight removed, but also that they would advise me on things that I just don’t know about. I told her I was concerned about reinfecting kay with the mucus cough which put her in hospital so she checked me out and said I was completely clear. I’ve now obviously ordered a bed guard for Kay so she can’t fall out again and it should arrive Saturday. It’s been a very busy day……

Sorry to hear this Pete. Hopefully the bed guard gives peace of mind to you, it's wonderful that you look after her the way you do

Oh Pete. What a worry. Hopefully the bed guard will help reassure you and the practical advice and assistance will be helpful.

How is the Mrs today Pete after her fall?

She’s fine thanks AT. I think she had just slid out of bed but she’s doing ok. While waiting for this bed rail guard to be delivered I’d put three armchairs around the bed but early this morning the remote alarm went off. I raced downstairs but she was lying in bed, it looks like she had pushed one of them which set off the infra red alarm, so panic over……

Easier said than done but be careful not to do yourself an injury rushing when just out of sleep.

No photos .....of course , but tonight Mrs J is recreating an absolutely wonderful lunch that we had last week whilst in Las Palmas ( Gran Canaria).

After walking 10km ( there and back ) to the old town - photos were provided - we went to Las Cantaries beach. A bit too cold to sunbathe but it has a great promenade and we found a fantastic tapas restaurant so settled down for an Al fresco lunch with a bottle of red Rioja.

It was a magical timewonderful.company with my gorgeous wife , waves crashing in , sunny , lovely Rioja and some patatas brava , spicy prawns and mushroom and tuna croquettes.

So, I got the Rioja out tonight ....well that's my job ! 😂

Have a lovely evening everyone.
