I remember we were robbed when I was still at Uni living with the folks.. happened twice in a few months.. got so flipping angry I ran down the road with a spade looking to clonk someone on the head. Turned out quite sad..

They caught the blokes and it turned out to be some young boys who we used to give food to a couples times a week. Had been giving from when they were pre teens for probably 7 or 8 years they would come round. Made sense why they ransacked my clothes and didn’t touch my folks.

Remember this is in the context of South Africa.. with poverty etc.
but crime in this part of the world means that if they come quietly, take stuff and go - that is a good outcome.

Yes we all judge and whilst not condoning crime it is easy to see why the have nots get fed up watching those who have plenty .

Those policing reality TV shows can be a hard watch. Sad how some people’s lives can just fall apart and they end up on the wrong side of the law.

Bad decision made the heat of the moment and their life turned upside down and law punishes them more than the toerags who set off the whole chain of events in the first place.

Hello everybody. Another foggy, gloomy day here in Durham. It doesn't motivate you to go anywhere. i haven't really got anything to tell you today - it has mostly been working. I'm looking forward to the England Wales game. I have no real preference who wins, possibly slightly prefer England because of the Everton players.

I flick the heating on about half an hour before they get up for school and then let it go off after they leave. I’m in a good routine of walking early and I don’t need the heat on myself whenever I get in to wake the kids.

Agree Blue. I think they've done OK so far, certainly not as bad as some previous England teams have fared. But I don't get all the plaudits following the 2 wins. There have been some passages of excellent play, but there's also been a lot of sloppiness in the performances. Rashford scored 2 good goals last night but apart from that he was very poor and sloppy in possession. The only really stand out player for us has been Bellingham. I think our main strength lies in our depth of attacking players so a good manager would rotate and make appropriate substitutions, something Southgate doesn't always do.

Having said that there aren't any real stand out teams, maybe a France/Brazil final if they avoid each other. I'm not sure how the draw pans out tbh. I think quality wise it's been a poor world cup so far and i don;t see that changing. Mbappe apart, i don't see any real outstanding players around at the moment.

Indeed Fred, as group winners I think France and Brazil can only meet in the final now. My prediction before the tournament was a repeat of the 98 final. Let's see how it goes.
