We inherited one with the last house . It was from 1954 ,someone came to buy it for 1500€ still running but very weak ,I think it was about 500ccDexter beef isn’t that common here and I have maybe tried it once or twice down the country. I have never driven a tractor either just to clarify

Modern tractors are like tanks. I dread meeting them on narrow roads but you do get to learn when to take care on your normal routes. They always seem to be driven by 16 year olds as well.

A while back, just as I was about to take a break myself, I noticed a post which I didn’t understand but which suggested
Val was having her last day on here for a while or having a break. I may be wrong as I tend to overthink such things, but I suspect that Val is taking a break for whatever reason and knowing our Messy Ladies @Gwladysover and @anjelikaferrett they’ll be in touch with her . Hopefully all is well.

The ongoing saga of my Irish passport application continues. As you may recall my brother and I applied in March 2024 to be on the Foreign Births register which then allows you to apply for an Irish passport. The estimated time frame was 9 months. My brother's came back last December and he now has an Irish passport. No sign of mine - in spite of both applications being in the same envelope and sharing common family documents. After much communication my Foreign Birth Registration is now deemed lost in transit and has been recorded as a data breach. This is somewhat worrying because the package coming back to me contained all the family certificates my own birth and marriage certificate, proof of my address, bank details- everything anybody could want for a successful identity theft. The only good thing is that a new certificate is on its way to me and I have been promised reimbursement for replacement certificates. The saying no good deed goes unpunished holds true here.I was the one who did all the research, ordered all the certificates and filled in all the forms. My brother just paid his fee!
I can't remember if Ive told you but Mr F and I are having a weekend in Scotland in a couple of weeks. We are staying in a hotel right beside Loch Lomond. I am very excited- it has been a couple of years since we last went to Scotland- far too long for my liking.

You could script this ,good luck with the saga ,see if there is an obvious loop hole to breach .Check with your bank ,card providers etc. A stitch in time as they say and keep any mails showing their culpability .
