Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Was hoping to be 'singing the blues' last night. Well that didn''t work out did it?
Still had a grat day though.
Missed @Armaghtoffee and his orange bobble hat 🤷‍♂️ but that might be explained by the photo you posted above A.T. We were at the opposite end of the family stand,in line with the edge of the penalty area.
Fantastic work by the 1878s 👏👏 Shame about the result :(
The orange bobble was on Kev and I was expecting a tap on the shoulder 😀.

10 Street Social had a mare as they couldn’t show the RS game. Due to that I was in the stadium early. Highly recommend the cheese and onion pie.

We also opted for the cheese and onion.:D Disappointed by the (relative) lack of choice in the Family Stand TBH, but we are back in South Upper for the games against Brentford and Wolves.

It’s great to hear so many had a fine time yesterday despite the result.

We were on the Christmas presents delivery run all over NEast Scotland, finally got home about 6:30pm. There was never any danger of me missing the match as Mrsbl needed to be home for Strictly!.

We managed to catch 4 out of 6 grandchildren. The highlight for me was with our. 9 year old, he has ADHD, we don’t see him that often so I always make a point of speaking to him on his own , but he’s not one to interact , preferring his computer games. Anyway he asked me about Chess, which he had learned, and we ended up playing two games . It’s the most interaction I’ve had with him for a few years , it suits him well as it’s quiet and calming and he’s dropped some of his more frenetic, noisy activities like Ninjas. Something to build on with him in the future.

He is just a boy .Just treat him well and you will get it all back in abundance

This is so lovely- a nice way you two can bond and maybe it can be your special thing

Finding something like that to help you connect is a proper Christmas gift

As a Goodison park cheese and onion pie aficionado of some years, I have to say I think the ones at HD aren’t as good. So much so last night I broke with tradition and had some polish dumplings (cheese and onion of course) in the Invisible Wind Factory. Very recommended. My son had the scouse ones which came with a little tub of gravy to dip them in. This could change habits that have lasted years.

I like the Wind factory but my sons like the atmosphere of 10 Streets. Talk about popping a balloon when at 5.30 the football went off the TV! Having seen the Leeds video from there, I was really looking forward to a hate watch before crossing the road.

Made the most of my day in Liverpool today and just home. Went to Ye old hole in ye wall and had a conversation that reminded me of @peteblue . You get the person but your politics will never meet. Got talking to a man at the bar, ex army, who served in NI. He had his opinions on my home town of Crossmaglen and I had mine 😀. We laughed at the irony of me saying he had no right to be in my country as I was stood in his local.

Aw that’s a shame, when we were walking to the ground there was a massive queue of people trying to get in to 10 streets so I’m guessing it was very packed inside. I noticed a new watering hole has opened up further along which looked nice too.

I was actually glad to get into the ground. Loads of space in the concourse to get a pint and watch the game on the TV.

Must compliment the staff in the ground. Children serving at the counters. All greeted you with a smile and very welcoming.

Good morning all on this fine day .
Happy birthday @jazzy .
I hope all are well and had a good night ,I am thinking of dropping off this thread with all the talk of HDS ,the pain is too much . As I type I feel my face turning green .It must be fantastic and I would so love one day to visit but there are complications ,the main being I have no passport !
