Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi everyone. Obviously I haven’t posted for a while but I’ve had a lot on my plate regarding looking after Kay and my own health. I’d gotten a very small rash on one leg (near the ankle) and my foot began to swell a bit to the extent that I could only wear one pair of shoes. I mentioned it to the Doctor and she had me do a variety of blood tests, urine etc before telling me she didn’t have a clue. Next it was chest X-rays , then a colonoscopy, then ultrasound, still not a clue. She obviously thought about cancer, but I was totally clear. This of course was taking up a tremendous amount of time going to hospitals etc. The doctors latest view (guess) is that it may be liver related and so I gave up any alcohol (I never used to drink a lot anyway) while the God’s debate what, if any, liver tests I should undertake. I certainly can’t fault the thoroughness. Meanwhile I’d had all my tablets changed and put on a course of antibiotics which while ridding me of a terrible cough had other side effects leaving me with a bit of dizziness but that could be related to a new problem with my hearing. I still try to get to my pub but less frequently and the staff immediately make me a mug of tea. I’ve got another appointment on Monday but have noticed that my foot swelling has gone down, so we shall see.

My kids have been terribly worried about me and breathed a sigh of relief when I wrote to EFC and relinquished my season ticket due to this dizziness.

Anyway, that’s what has been happening, sorry for the moan…..
Best wishes my old friend.

Good morning all on this dark one here .I hope all had a good night and have a wonderful day today . Off to the shops but not much else today until this evening ,wouldn't it be special to overtake them in the league .
I wonder how long they will wait with Slot the clot ? You have to smile 0.5 billion and a run like this .My cup runneth over even though I know it could be empty in a flash ,we were unlucky to meet them when we did ,ne'er mind Utd tonight will be hard so let's do our best COYB

Hello all. Frankie went home at 8am this morning after his visit to Nottingham. I think he enjoyed himself. We had a lovely time - I'm pleased to say that Chris looks healthier every time I see him and his mental health is much improved. I've a lot to be thankful for this year.
The drive back yesterday was awful.- torrential rain and almost pitch black skies from Doncaster to just outside Darlington. It was not fun! I've been to the gym this morning - my weight loss seems to have stalled( absolutely nothing to do with the blueberry muffin I've just eaten🤣)but something is going on- my clothes are fitting better.
Here's a pic of Chris and Sophie's cat - he's a very beautiful, high maintenance Bengal called Scampi1000013398.webp

Glad to hear you arrived home safely, sounds like a nightmare journey. So pleased that Chris is much better too. Scampi looks like the Lord of all he surveys🤣. I’ll admire him from afar though, I’m a little bit afraid of cats.

Our daughter has two kittens from the same litter as our Jenny , I suspect both of them will be ā€œ high maintenance ā€œ as she gives them all kinds of extra treats , chicken every day etc. My theory Anj, is that cats are just like children, if you give in to all their demands you set up problems for yourselves later. Unless of course they are Grandchildren šŸ™‚.

@Gwladysover we can offer therapy sessions if you’re afraid of cats in any way. This would consist of letting Jenny the Kitten curl up on your lap, purring loudly at 100 mph and giving you a gently ā€œ puttā€ with her paw if you fail to give her enough attention !

That sounds just the thing, I assume it’s mates rates.šŸ˜‰ My aunt had a Siamese which was treated like royalty and never allowed out unless on a lead. Once, when I was visiting it escaped and I was sent to retrieve it before it got onto the road. It wasn’t too happy about being captured and when I picked it up it clawed and bit my face, just missed my eye. I was about eleven and I’ve been wary of cats ever since.

Wow when you think you have seen it all being an Evertonian, we probably all thought the same a man down playing at OT no way we are winning this game , we score a cracker and hold out for a unreal 1-0 win

Oh and Barry won the most headers in this game than any other player this season, so hopefully he will come good

Our away supporters are by far the best in the league
