Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hello everybody. Greetings from Nottingham. We've had a lovely day with Chris and Sophie. Sophie has just made us Sussex Pond pudding - which I have only ever seen as a technical challenge on Bake Off! It was amazing. I have a very talented daughter in law. Frankie is fully enjoying his visit to see his auntie and uncle . They have their Christmas tree up so he is enthralled by the lights and the colours.
I so hope we win on Monday. To go above that lot would be a joy! Even just on goal difference.
Enjoy your night folks x

Morning everyone,

Interesting evening last night .

My favourite Steely Dan tribute band were playing Liverpool so of course I had to go and booked the tickets some while ago.

My Kopite mate you will recall is very ill and had to cry off so Mrs J despite saying that she didn't like the Dan bravely came off the subs bench.

The gig was at Hangar 34 Greenland St in the Baltic triangle a part of town I was totally unfamiliar with. In fact apart from a visit to Cains brewery about 30 years ago I think I've only ever driven past it.

Had no idea where I was going so walked the length of the Strand and got to it that way. I have to tell you that the number of pissed , foreign Kopites was incredible , I've never seen anything like it.

Found the venue and the gig was great and amazingly Mrs J loved it.

Unfortunately we had to cut short the 2nd set to get the train back to Ormskirk and to make sure Granny was ok.

The walk back into town was much easier now I had my bearings and Paradise St ( although not as I remembered it ) and Liverpool 1 was only 15 minutes away.

I was staggered by the number of new hotels.

Liverpool really is tourist city especially so I guess when the RS are at home

Central was rammed . Had a good night.

Are the Tour Guide Commitee aware of this? They may need to revoke your qualifications.🤣🤣

Good morning all. Wet and miserable in Nottingham so I don't think we'll be going anywhere today. However it is good to spend time with Chris and Sophie.
Glad you had a good night @jazzy. I forgot to mention the cricket yesterday- what a shambles! I feel sorry for folk who flew all the way there for 2 days play. My brother who lives in Perth had tickets for Day 1 and Day 3.
We're going to a quiz tomorrow night - a fundraiser organised by the wife of one of my team mates. It's in an Indian restaurant so for £20 a ticket you get the quiz and all you can eat curry. Sounds good to me!
Have a lovely day all x

Don't mention the cricket!
Shambles doesn't even come close Anj. It was disgraceful and braindead. Reminded me of watching Everton 😂.

Quiz and curry , wow do you have any places in your team? I'm ok with general knowledge, fab with 80s pop and have Granny on speed dial for any Strictly questions ( pity she's deaf and can't hear the phone) 😂
